Ziggurat Interactive and Limited Run Games have announced that their two-for-one classic pack, A Boy and His Blob Retro Collection will release on Switch, PS4, and PS5 on October 17, 2023. A PC version is in the works for a later date.
A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia was released on the NES in 1990, and it’s an odd one for the time period. In a lot of ways, it feels more like an early home computer game than a late NES title. It’s very freeform, and the world itself is like a very big puzzle. It takes a while to acclimate to it, and then you’ll likely need a few attempts at the game to finally see the end. It’s not impossible. It’s just a little overwhelming and unforgiving.
The collection also includes The Rescue of Blobette (also known as David Crane’s The Rescue of Blobette Starring a Boy and His Blob) is very similar but with smaller flipscreens and fewer colors.
Both games were developed by the legendary David Crane, who is best known for his work in Pitfall. The two games have their charm, but I don’t think they’re the best from the developer. Nonetheless, they’re unique, which counts for something.
Both games have been converted to Limited Run Games’ proprietary Carbon Engine. The Collection was available physically on PS4, PS5, and Switch, as well as separately as NES and GameBoy reissues, but those sold out. If you missed them, here’s your chance to get them digitally.

One of the most requested features in Pokemon games for many fans has been (and may always be) a difficulty setting. Pokemon is a franchise loved by many, spanning age ranges far more significant than most other popular IPs with the same demographic appeal. League of Legends is host to many alternate dimensions, including one where its champions are incredibly successful and popular musicians. The experiment started with Pentakill, who have put out some respectable metal albums, and continued through to bands like the hip-hop group True Damage and the K-Pop sensations K/DA. There’s a new kid on the block, and it’s Heartsteel, a boy band made up of a collaboration between League of Legends champions and real world musicians.

You'd be forgiven for thinking The Boys' big bad Supe Homelander is an unbeatable opponent, considering not even Soldier Boy could take him down (though spin-off Gen V may have introduced a character who can).
Five years after turning four of its characters into a pretend K-Pop group, League of Legends has a boy band now. The six-man group is called Heartsteel, and it features «re-imagined» versions of the LoL characters Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone, K'Sante, and Sett.

League of Legends Heartsteel is the name of the now very real boy band consisting of six champions and a handful of real-world artists representing them, as Riot Games shows off the first artwork of the characters. The group’s first single is also on the way later this month.
Head on over to the PlayStation Store today and you may notice that Atlus has just released something called 'The Persona Collection'. It's a digital bundle that includes Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable. It's priced at $89.99 / £72.99, which is obviously less than what you'd pay if you bought the three titles separately (when they're not discounted, at least).
