This Flash puzzle games collection is holding a strong 99% positive review on Steam

One of 2023's most notable sleeper hits is the action-puzzle game Cocoon. It's a type of puzzle game that showcases dense and detailed environments and a particularly clever take on traversing multiple worlds, blending exploration with puzzle-solving. As more attention has been given to the game post-launch, the developer behind Cocoon recently shared on social media a never-before-seen look at an early prototype, showcasing what the game looked like in its early stages and how it got to where it is today.

2023 has been loaded with stellar games of all shapes and sizes. That game is Laika: Aged Through Blood, which also happens to be one of the more original takes on the popular Metroidvania sub-genre we've seen in years. Just released last month, Laika: Aged Through Blood from developer Brainwash Gang is a fast-paced and stylized ride through the post-apocalypse, starring a cast of anthropomorphic animal drifters, bandits, and vagabonds exploring the ruins of the old world. 

Publisher ARTE France, developer Fishing Cactus, and co-producers Atlas V, 3dar, and Be Revolution Gaming have announced Gloomy Eyes: The Game, a dark narrative puzzle game adaptation of the virtual reality animated film Gloomy Eyes. It will launch for PC via Steam in 2025.

It's a bad day for enjoyers of games with decent performance, as today's biggest new releases - Cities: Skylines 2 and the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection - are both getting pummeled on Steam for some serious technical limitations.
