Funko has released more than 13,000 Pop! figures so rather than trying to collect them all, which would be almost impossible, you need to pick a lane or two and stick it to. Whether that be focusing on Pops from a particular series like Pokemon or DC, or maybe sticking to a particular type like the special edition flocked figures. If you're thinking of starting a Funko Pop! selection from scratch, you may want to consider the new Retro Reimagined collection.
Retro Reimagined Pops are exactly what they sound like. While all figures pulled from famous fandoms are modeled after characters, these new Pops go a little deeper. The collection is made up of Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars characters, and all of the designs are based on how the characters looked long ago. The R2-D2 and C-3PO two-pack, for example. Based on the designs the droids had in the original trilogy, but with a reimagined twist.

Boba Fett is the other Star Wars character to have received the Retro Reimagined treatment, his Pop! in an action pose with his jet pack turned on. The black lines over the smoke and other parts of the Pop! make Fett's figure look like it has been ripped right out of a comic book. That reimagination fits the Marvel Pops that are a part of this collection even more fitting. Captain America and Black Panther the first superheroes to get the new Funko treatment.
Funko has curated a Retro Reimagined collection of Funko Pop! figures to celebrate Disney turning 100. Boba Fett is repping Star Wars in the collection, his Pop! designed to look like it has been pulled from a retro comic book.
The final two figures in the collection are Disney's Tiana and a rather festive-looking Mickey Mouse. All six of the Funko Pops are available now, but all of them are exclusive to Target. You can head to the links in the boxes above and below if you want to buy any of them. The collection only includes characters under the Disney banner as it has been created to celebrate 100 years of Disney, but there may well be more figures added to the collection in the future.
Disney's Retro Reimagined collection has been created to celebrate the studio turning 100. Based on iconic designs of famous characters, this Black Panther Funko Pop! has been made to look like the hero did in his comic books a long time ago.
They might not be a part of the Retro Reimagined collection, but Pokemon has been getting a lot of Funko love lately too. Its Umbreon and Aipom Pops are finally up for pre-order, and a Diamond Collection Lapras figure appeared online this week too. Funko also revealed a new batch of Stranger Things Funko Pops last week, headlined by Vecna.
