The Finals offers rare novelty in the competitive multiplayer genre, encouraging creative strategies impossible in other titles because of its immense environmental destruction, physics-based hazards, and armory of whimsical gadgets. This first-person shooter occurs amid a digital game show where varying counts of three-person teams fight over money caches in an objective-focused format. The Finals is unpredictable in the best way: gameshow events like meteor showers or orbital lasers remap previously memorized paths, map variants like moving platforms or suspended structures can obfuscate objectives, and your team’s best-laid defensive plans are often interrupted as explosives obliterate the buildings around you.

There's just something special about the dystopic bloodsport in recently released first-person shooter that feels different from other FPS titles. It's not totally clear whether it's because of the club-bumping EDM soundtrack or Vegas-inspired fluorescent UI teasing people to get more cosmetics, but the game is certainly not boring. Dave the Diver is one of PC Gamer's favourite games of 2023, no small feat in a year as crammed with great releases as this one has been. In his review from July, Chris called it «easily the best game of 2023» saying «When I finished the final boss at 35 hours in, I felt like I'd been on a real adventure, and the ending gently, but genuinely, tugged on my heartstrings.» Granted, this was before Baldur's Gate 3 blew everyone away, but still a score of 91 is nothing to sniff at.

Video game concerts are some of my favourite things in the world. The studio behind summer hit Dave The Diver has announced its next game — and it’s very different indeed.
MINTROCKET, the developer behind Dave the Diver, has announced their next title, which might not be what you’d expect. NAKWON: LAST PARADISE, according to the developer, is “an ambitious zombie apocalypse stealth-survival game, set in Seoul, in which players must use their wits to avoid detection, loot items, and escape to survive.” The game is a 16-player PvPvE experience and will be available on PC.
“Japanese users are becoming more pragmatic,” Tom Kang, a Seoul-based analyst for Counterpoint, said in an interview. “There's now more opportunity for alternatives. We've seen a little bit of growth in Sony and a little bit of growth in some other brands, but the growth of Google was most surprising.”
There's been a certain amount of confusion and alarm over the announcement of Nakwon: Last Paradise, a dingy third-person zombie survival adventure with a big emphasis on stealth, from the creators of Dave the Diver, a bright, breezy uramaki roll of a game that mixes restaurant management with side-on undersea exploration. Is this kind of like when Prince of Persia went all edgelord with Two Thrones? Do I need to call Mintrocket's parents and ask for an intervention?
How do you follow up a five-star treat like Dave the Diver? With a zombie-themed, 16-player PvPvE stealth-survival extraction game, of course! Developer Mintrocket has just unveiled its next project, titled Nakwon: Last Paradise, and it's about as much a departure from its acclaimed snorkelling-and-sushi-restaurant-management adventure as you can get, dropping players onto the streets of Seoul, right into the middle of the undead apocalypse.
I'm not sure what I imagined would come next from Mintrocket, the studio that brought us the delightful and surprising fishing and restaurant management sim Dave the Diver—but a 16-player PvPvE zombie stealth extraction survival game wouldn't have been it.

Of all League of Legends‘ numerous musical maestros, K/DA remain my favorites. As someone who adores Blackpink, BTS, and all of those other K-Pop bands you’ve heard about in passing, my brain literally exploded when Richy ‘RichyDraws’, doni ‘yoomyoom’, and emre ’emriikun’ dropped their stunning K/DA Code Pink League of Legends cosmetic concepts, and I’m genuinely so upset they won’t actually be added to the MOBA.
