The Exynos 2400 is expected to be found in several Galaxy S24 variants sold in several regions, and while Samsung did not divulge the details of its flagship SoC, a recent claim made by the Korean giant’s executives placed the silicon’s GPU ahead of its competitors. However, earlier benchmarks revealed that it still has some catching up to do, and we will discuss those details shortly.
SEDEX 2023 is a semiconductor exhibition currently being held in Seoul, Korea, with Samsung’s executives present at the venue too. One of them, Park Yong-in, who is the President of the company’s LSI division, which oversees the firm’s chipset development, talked about the capabilities of the Exynos 2400, but more specifically, its GPU, which is the Xclipse 940. The latter is an improved graphics processor that was made possible thanks to the collaboration of AMD and is based on the RDNA3 architecture, delivering increased performance in rasterization and ray tracing.
The Samsung executive has stated that this GPU outperforms the competition and it will do well. By this claim, the Xclipse 940 will end up beating Apple’s A17 Pro and the Adreno 750, belonging to the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While displaying confidence in one’s product is admirable, there is evidence that the Xclipse 940 does not outperform the competition and is in fact, slower than the Adreno 750 in Geekebench 6’s Vulkan test. In the OpenCL test run, the Exynos 2400 is on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is excellent to see, as it forces companies to produce the best versions of their silicon.
Of course, it is important to note that a single benchmark does not conclude a chipset’s performance, and several other tests need to be run on the Exynos 2400 and compared with the competition to provide an impartial analysis. Hopefully, we will get to see these numbers soon, and we will update our readers in due time, so stay tuned.

Concert tickets are more expensive than ever. Inflation, Ticketmaster’s monopolistic practices, and increased demand after COVID-related touring delays have coincided to create a perfect storm of ticket-buying agony. Tours were never accessible to everyone: Geography, economics, health and safety concerns, and physical or mental ability make stadium and arena concerts — held only in major metropolitan areas, and only in certain countries — infeasible and/or unaffordable for large swaths of global pop music fandom. As fandom’s role as a source of identity and community becomes more precious, and more people than ever want to see certain concerts, the barriers to attending live shows are rising — so it’s no wonder that concert films are finding expansive new footing.

I’ve always loved competition-based reality TV, especially any series with alliances and backstabbing — think shows like Survivor, The Amazing Race, and Big Brother, although the list goes on. I’ve finally found a new heir apparent to the genre, a Korean show called The Devil’s Plan. In The Devil’s Plan, which I mainlined on Netflix, players compete in brain games to win gold pieces. Players who lose all their pieces are eliminated, until there’s one winner left standing.
