Shift Up, the South Korean studio responsible for the upcoming Stellar Blade, appears to be hiring for a new project in Unreal Engine.
The studio's largest game to date, Stellar Blade, has yet to be released for PlayStation 5, but the Seoul-based developer is already recruiting employees for a new AAA Sci-fi Action RPG within Unreal Engine. At the time of writing, there are several positions at the studio, including a position as a programmer, monster concept artist, character concept artist, animator, and screenwriter. Although the job descriptions don't reveal that many details, it appears that the studio is working on an action RPG using Epic's game engine for PC and consoles. The description, however, also mentions mobile.
It will be interesting to learn more about this new project from Shift Up. As the team is just about to release Stellar Blade, and recruitment for their next project is kicking off, don't expect any new details anytime soon. As always, we will update you as soon as more information about it comes in.
Stellar Blade launches later this month on April 26 for PlayStation 5. A free demo for the game is available now through the PlayStation Store. This demo features the first stage of the game.
“The demo takes place from the very beginning of the game when Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba, up to the first boss fight. This first stage will include the tutorial phase to help you familiarize yourself with basic combat features as you explore post-war Eidos 7, a human city now infested by the Naytiba, giving you an early grasp of gameplay mechanics that will serve you throughout the game’s story. We also have a little surprise included for players who complete the first stage.”
