Today, South Korean developer MINTROCKET (a division of NEXON Korea responsible for the critically acclaimed single player adventure RPG DAVE THE DIVER) unveiled NAKWON: LAST PARADISE, a zombie stealth extraction game set in Seoul. The game world features PvPvE elements, so players will have to be mindful of both real players and AI-powered zombies.
MINTROCKET's Game Director Jang Kyoung Han stated:
As we continue to improve NAKWON’s multiplayer experience, we hope community collaboration will be a core part of our development process. We’re still very early on in playable development— this playtest is by no means representative of our planned final product— but we’re excited to share our journey with players and hear their initial feedback. This is a great opportunity for passionate players to get involved at an early stage and help us shape the project. We intend to implement player feedback from the pre-alpha this year and follow up with a more robust public test sometime next year, with the goal of building a fun and original survival experience for players.
According to the official description, players will be able to obtain higher privileges and access based on their Citizen Grade. You'll have to make money to pay rent, in addition to getting better equipment.
MINTROCKET has shared over 20 minutes of gameplay. They have also announced an open Closed Alpha playtest that will take place via Steam between November 29 at 5 PM Pacific Time and December 3 at midnight Pacific Time. The official NAKWON: LAST PARADISE page already includes the game's system requirements.

There's just something special about the dystopic bloodsport in recently released first-person shooter that feels different from other FPS titles. It's not totally clear whether it's because of the club-bumping EDM soundtrack or Vegas-inspired fluorescent UI teasing people to get more cosmetics, but the game is certainly not boring. Developed by Embark Studios, was announced and released at The Game Awards 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on December 7, 2023.
It’s official. THE FINALS is out now. The announcement was made during The Game Awards 2023 earlier tonight in what is arguably the best tactic for developers to capitalize on hype: the ole’ “ and it’s available now! ” approach. We had another opportunity to go hands-on with THE FINALS just last week, and here are some of our key takeaways from Embark Studio's first debut title.

You may not like playing mobile games, but millions upon millions do. Estimates indicate approximately three billion people enjoy some kind of interactive experience on their smartphone, which is almost half the entire planet’s population. That’s a staggering statistic, and it’s not hard to understand why Sony would want to penetrate the market.
We wouldn't blame you for forgetting all about Arad Chronicle: Khazan — the action RPG that was announced over a year ago, back in November 2022. Developed by South Korean outfit Neople, the game takes place in the world of Dungeon Fighter Online — a popular PC title in Asian territories. And, well… we've heard nothing about the project since its reveal.

There was little doubt that the GTA VI trailer would do well in terms of viewership. Still, the debut video of Rockstar's massively anticipated new game surpassed even the rosiest expectations.

We see the term banded about all the time, but what exactly is an indie game?
Do Kwon, former crypto darling and now fugitive, was arrested in Montenegro this March while attempting to flee to Dubai. The High Court in Podgorica, the Montenegrin capital, has now given approval for Do Kwon's extradition, though whether he'll be off to South Korea or the US, both of which have open arrest warrants for him, remains to be decided.
