League of Legends’ K-pop band KDA are back, but not for Worlds

After two big crossovers with One Punch Man and Diablo 4 — and a smaller brand deal with Korean eyewear company Gentle Monster — Overwatch 2’s next collaboration will be with K-pop group Le Sserafim. Blizzard’s partnership with Le Sserafim is Overwatch’s first musical artist collaboration, and will include in-game components and an appearance from the group at next month’s BlizzCon.

Five years after turning four of its characters into a pretend K-Pop group, League of Legends has a boy band now. The six-man group is called Heartsteel, and it features «re-imagined» versions of the LoL characters Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone, K'Sante, and Sett.

Video game concerts are some of my favourite things in the world. Final Fantasy’s Distant Worlds, the NieR:Orchestra concerts, the Sonic Symphony - whatever particular series is your personal earworm, hearing music you’ve spent dozens or hours of hours listening to performed by a live orchestra can be incredibly moving and transformative. For those who feel that kind of connection with Stardew Valley, the engrossing farming-slash-romance-slash-dungeon-crawling sim is taking its OST on the road next year.

Gigantic, a team-based shooter initially released in 2017, has returned for a limited time. From October 5 to October 7 the third-person shooter is hosting a “throwback event” where certain players will be able to play through the game again. Unfortunately, the event appears to be invite-only, so won’t be publicly accessible, but could lead to something more for the game depending on its popularity. 

One of the major controversies of Overwatch 2 was how players would have to go about unlocking new heroes. Players who remember the first iteration of Overwatch will fondly think back of the days when heroes were available to play immediately after release, for free, too. But with a new battle pass systems, players can still unlock all of the new heroes for free, they just need to jump through some extra hoops. Fortunately, Blizzard is giving players another avenue of unlocking new heroes, according to an article from Forbes.

Hitman Blood Money is probably the best of the classic Hitman games prior to its 2016 rebirth with the trilogy of games that would ultimately come to be known as Hitman: World of Assassination. For those of you who haven’t revisited this iconic part of Agent 47’s history, the classic stealth-action game is being given a new look courtesy of developer Feral Interactive in partnership with IO Interactive – but rather sadly we don’t appear to be getting it on PC.

To be blunt, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was designed by the team at Ubisoft to be a kind of “rewind” for the series. Many fans had noted that recent games featuring Vikings, Spartans, and Egyptian Warriors were great, but they had a scale to them that made the titles feel overwhelming. Thus, the new title wouldn’t just take place within the “roots” of the franchise but scale down things to help the gamers feel more “at ease” within the setting. They would also do a more “refined” story and focus on gameplay elements so players could be the “ultimate assassin.”

Resident Evil 4 Remake is a triumph from Capcom, a truly dark and grueling version of the action horror game that redefined the genre. While the game hasn’t had the same staying power as the original so far, it’s understandable, given that it’s much more focused on providing a challenging modern Resident Evil experience.
