Imagine what it would be like to spend hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours amassing an unparalleled fortune in a game you love, only to have it all taken away. Heartbreaking is a big word, but I would definitely be fighting back tears (as I uninstalled).
If there’s one thing that Larian Studios has made abundantly clear during their time with Baldur’s Gate 3, they want to make it a title that fans can enjoy from top to bottom with no exceptions. They’ve already admitted that the game’s third act wasn’t the best and are slowly fixing things for fans to have a better resolution for things like the romances and plots. But now, they’re taking their dedication to fan enjoyment to a whole new level by ensuring a cat is exactly how the fans want it to be. Confused? Don’t worry, we’ll explain, and it’s a doozy of a tale.
Writer/artist Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo is one of the longest running, most beloved independent comics around. And while the rabbit ronin's adventures in a world based on feudal Japan are Usagi Yojimbo's bread and butter, his far future spin-off Space Usagi is returning in a one-shot titled Space Usagi: Yokai Hunter.
Although Wes Anderson’s four Netflix shorts adapting famed British author Roald Dahl can be viewed in any permutation, it’s worth watching them in release order. The series’ casting and imaginative flourishes probe Dahl’s young adult writings, which take a different tone from his most famous works, children’s novels like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Witches. These four esoteric adaptations — The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, The Swan, The Rat Catcher, andPoison — also serve as a Rosetta stone for Anderson’s influences and filmmaking style, uncovering the reasons his visual language continues to be so effective.

Epic Games has provided no specific timing. This comes shortly after the announcement of a price hike of the in-game currency Show-Bucks last week.
One of the best things about Sea of Thieves is the lurking spectre of danger in every encounter: Is that rapidly-approaching brigantine looking to team up, or looking for a fight? But not everyone cares for my particular brand of «excitement,» and for those folks developer Rare is adding a new game mode called Safer Seas that will enable players to sail the high seas alone or with a chosen group of friends.

We're quite looking forward to Hellboy Web of Wyrd. Part of this is the game’s dizzying depth, with tons of detail for fans to pore through.
One of the things that sometimes gets lost when it comes to remakes of particularly “old titles” in the gaming space is that things that were done in the past don’t always hold up when you remake them. Obviously, the graphics are a big thing that is often improved due to advanced technologies and better televisions in general. Gameplay mechanics can also be fixed, adjusted, and improved due to new trends and wanting a “better flow.” Then, in the case of the Super Mario RPG Remake and certain other games, they need to improve things on a more “politically correct” scale.
12 years later, The Binding of Isaac remains my go-to roguelite. There have been some incredible Rogue-inspired games since, but nothing has quite stuck its disgusting, fly and poop-covered hooks in me like Edmund McMillen’s tale of a crying child fighting his murderous mother using the power of his tears. Yes, I’m in therapy, why do you ask?
Finally, Truck Driver: The American Dream is here to bring us the one thing that American Truck Simulator was missing: a robust story campaign filled with human drama.

In some countries John and Jane Doe are used as placeholder names for the corpses of people who have not yet been identified. You've got to wonder if that factoid, beloved by so many crime dramas, was the spark of inspiration that led to Deer Editor, a new comic about a tough-as-nails investigative journalist... who is also a deer.
Serial and somewhat hit-and-miss YouTube 'leak' channel, Moore's Law is Dead, has unloaded some technical details and performance expectations for AMD's upcoming Zen 5 and 6 CPU architectures. The headline takeaway is arguably that it involves more modest performance gains than previous rumours.

V Rising is one of my long-standing game obsessions, as I’ve poured hundreds of hours into it since its early access launch. Stunlock Studios managed to perfectly merge two of my favorite things, crafting and vampires, to create a unique gaming experience I have yet to find elsewhere. The free Secrets of Gloomrot update reignited my excitement, but it seems there’s more to come. Stunlock Studios has just revealed another massive update that’s underway, the game’s full 1.0 release which is accompanied by the final boss, new zone, and more.
Payday 3 is here – although “here” may be too strong a word for the nebulous nature of the game’s ability to provide an entertaining experience. Between slow matchmaking, struggling servers, and errors, Payday 3’s gameplay experience is as invisible as it wants you to be when taking on a mission stealthily.

This means you’ll be able to play nearly every iteration of The Doctor and their companions and villains in a crossover that crosses all of time and space.
If you, like me, are a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the promise of playing through its fantastic story yourself is an enticing concept that, shockingly, has yet to be truly delivered on in the 18 years since the animated show premiered on Nickelodeon. Avatar: The Last Airbender - Quest for Balance set out to change that: finally you and a co-op partner will be able to relive iconic Avatar moments, like that time Aang had to save a village from an angry monster by solving a sliding block puzzle, or that other time he had to enter the Spirit World to… solve a sliding block puzzle. Quest for Balance is easily the worst adaptation of the series since M. Night Shyamalan’s abysmal live-action movie. It picks baffling moments from the story to highlight, fills them with awful combat and bottom-of-the-barrel quests, and tops itself off with a healthy coating of jank that leaves fans still waiting for a decent Avatar game to emerge from the ice.
The Valheim Ashlands aren’t ready for a while yet, but they’re already giving me nightmares. When I think back to the early days of the co-op Viking survival game, the stories that stick in my mind are always terrifying tales of its most troublesome inhabitants. The moment a troll shows up to smash its way through your beautiful base. Losing everything to the horrifying Deathsquitos of the Plains. Now, our latest look at Ashlands creatures already has me worried.
Every developer is working on their Genshin Impact-beater at the moment, it seems. The latest to throw their hat into the ring is the exceptionally talented Asobimo with Metria.

In sad news for fans of legendary characters, Square Enix has confirmed to IGN what was likely always going to be the case: that everyone's favourite edgy gunslinger will be an AI companion in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and not fully playable, just like Red XIII in Final Fantasy VII Remake. The same goes for the chain-smoking pilot, Cid, who remains elusive, hard to define, and thus highly cool.
It's taken almost three years to get here, but we're confident in saying that Cyberpunk 2077 is now an excellent open world RPG. Update 2.0 just launched on PS5, and it makes a laundry list of improvements and adjustments to the game. Entire systems have been redone, combat has been refreshed, and overall, it just feels like a much better game — and we'd argue it's been pretty great since it released on PS5 last year.

Known as FF:06:B5, it spans both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, and a dedicated subreddit has sprung up to solve the various esoteric threads that comprise it.
Now that the iPhone 15 series is out, the focus is starting to shift to Apple's flagship for next year - the iPhone 16. Even before the iPhone 15 debut, we were hearing rumours about iPhone 16, and what it could offer. Leaks initially suggested that the iPhone 16 would be the one to feature an Action button, but Apple surprised everyone by bringing it out this year with the iPhone 15 Pro models. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant could bring yet another hardware change with the iPhone 16 series in the form of a new button that will make snapping photos much easier!
Ed Boon has mentioned a pink ninja called Floyd twice in the past four years when asked if he would ever make a new palette swap character. He emphasised that he wasn't kidding when discussing the concept, which sparked rumours and theories that we'd finally see this new pink ninja in Mortal Kombat 1. While they're not in the base game, there's evidence of them possibly appearing in DLC or as part of Invasions' seasonal stories.

I've been greatly looking forward to sci-fi immersive sim shooter Fortune's Run, despite absolutely sucking at the demo. Scandalously, we don't appear to have covered this indie sci-fi FPS on these golden pages, so here's a quick overview: you're the high-jumping, sword-wielding, bullet-pumping lovechild of Deus Ex and DOOM, galloping through a world that recalls the Imperial bases and sewers of Dark Forces, taking down grungy pixelart sprites by means of precision parries, grabs, combos, headshots, terrain traps and much more besides. Between dust-ups, you can play basketball and leave crayon graffiti for other players care of a Dark Souls-style messaging system. It's a feast!

The two paired up to announce Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, currently planned for 2024.
In the eclectic realm of ghost-chasing aficionados and those versed in demonology, Ed and Lorraine Warren’s narrative was a tale that many whispered about. Known, yet enigmatic. Then, lo and behold, 2013 rolled around, and James Wan released his cinematic sensation – The Conjuring. It wasn’t merely an adaptation; it was an eruption. The film didn’t just “tell” their story. Instead, it thrust it quite dramatically into the spotlight. It unfurled layer by nuanced layer, the eerie, spine-tingling world that the Warrens navigated daily. From creepy dolls to demonic possession, the couple have seen it all in the Conjuring universe. It’s safe to say then that The Conjuring has become a modern classic for horror fans — a tale so haunting, so riveting, that its labyrinthine reach has spun into multiple sequels. Given its illustrious legacy in the world of horror, isn’t it high time we entertained the idea of a video game adaptation of The Conjuring?

It combines two of my favorite things ever, cozy games and Lord of the Rings, to create a wholesome Tolkien-inspired experience like no other. Publisher Private Division has teamed up with Wētā Workshop, a special effects company known for its work on Peter Jackson’s iconic The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings films, to create the Shire-based game.

I’ve never been to New Zealand, much less to the preserved set of Hobbiton from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies in the real town of Matamata. But until I actually pull off that globe-trotting trip, Tales of the Shire, a new game from Private Division and Wētā Workshop, might tide me over.
