Today, New Zealand studio Wētā Workshop unveiled Tales of the Shire, its previously announced game set in Middle-earth. Not much has been shared about it other than the fact it'll be a 'cozy and heartwarming' game, as evidenced by the artwork and the teaser trailer. It's likely players will be asked to tend to their Hobbit farms and gardens rather than fighting orcs.

Earlier today, I reported that The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki was finally getting an English localization. Titled Trails through Daybreak, I picked out a talking point from the NISA announcement stream that Trails through Daybreak would be the start of a new story arc, and therefore serve as a decent entry point for new fans. Little did I know that I stepped on a landmine with this comment.

Sailing in Sea of Thieves has always had an inherent level of risk. While we still wait for the Android 14 rollout, Google has decided to push out one final Android security update for September for its Pixel smartphones and devices. This is expected to be the final update for Android 13. However, there is one sad news for Pixel 4a users as they will not be receiving the security update and have been deemed not compatible to receive the Android 14 update. Surprisingly, the Google Pixel 4a (5G) will receive both the updates. Know why Pixel 4a may not get any further updates.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty may be getting all the buzz right now for being excellent and starring Idris Elba, the only guy cooler than Keanu Reeves—but I'm actually more excited about Cyberpunk's giganto 2.0 update. Cyberpunk 2.0 releases on September 21, several days before Phantom Liberty, with a huge list of changes and additions. The 2.0 patch adds vehicle combat, reworks the skill trees and player progression, cyberware, and police AI, and so much more it's practically a new game even before Phantom Liberty gets bolted on.

After two rip-roaring outings, Sea of Thieves' wonderful Monkey Island adventure will soon reach its end; Rare has now confirmed its third and final instalment will launch next Thursday, 28th September — clearing the way for the pirate game's tenth season on 19th October.

We're still waiting for Intel's next-gen Meteor Lake CPUs to make retail availability. All the expectations are that those chips will be limited to laptops and the desktop will only receive a minor refresh of the existing Raptor Lake chips. But now comes news that Intel has been showing off yet another new generation of CPUs, known as Lunar Lake.
