Google Pixel Watch 2: Last minute leak reveals big fitness feature; Know what's coming

In a big win for India, another tech major, after Apple, has agreed to manufacture their top-end smartphones locally here. Google had recently launched its new Pixel 8 series globally and it has been announced that the phone will be manufactured in India soon. This year, the smartphone comes with various new features and camera upgrades. This was revealed today during the Google event in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. Google also indicated that it was investing in India's manufacturing sector by building a plant to produce their latest Pixel smartphones.

Google for India 2023: The 9th edition of the annual Google India event came with a number of big announcements. Apart from announcing the impact of generative AI as a way to eliminate the roadblocks for digital users and entrepreneurs, and highlighting the new shopping experience on AI-led Search Generative Experience (SGE), Google also made a number of key announcements. It has now integrated Google Maps with ONDC and added new features for Indian farmers via Google Cloud. And most interestingly, the Google Pixel 8 series will be made in India. In an unexpected twist, Google has removed the restrictions it had allegedly placed on the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices. Now, users can freely install popular benchmarking apps like Geekbench and 3D Mark. This move, which initially baffled tech enthusiasts, was implemented during the review embargo period for the Pixel 8 series phones prior to their official release. The peculiar decision hindered them from conducting comprehensive tests on Google's claims about the Tensor G3 chip powering the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices, unless they were well-versed in manually sideloading the apps.

After months of anticipation, Google finally took the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone, the Pixel 8 series, at the Made by Google 2023 event on October 4. Both the phones, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have an enhanced focus on their artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
