After a year of Epic Games Store exclusivity, Dead Island 2 will launch on Steam on April 22. And in celebration, Valve is giving away Techland's 2013 co-op horror game Dead Island: Riptide for free for a (very) limited time.

Nintendo has revealed a new trailer forSplatoon 3’s upcoming downloadable content (DLC), Side Order, which has shown off more of the single-player roguelike action that players can look forward to.

Atomic Heart’s Trapped in Limbo DLC is colourful and eye-catching, and I hated every minute of it. I certainly felt trapped; trapped in a mobile game-inspired expansion that’s repetitive, frustrating, and a chore to complete. As someone who enjoyed Atomic Heart itself a great deal last year and found several things to like about the previous DLC, I am genuinely baffled at how actively I do not want to play Trapped in Limbo ever again.

Suggestions that Persona 3 Reload will be treated to a wave of DLC, including the FES version's post-game content The Answer, have gained more weight after references to them were spotted in a recent datamine. Delving into the PC files revealed mentions of a «P3R Expansion Pass» that would grant access to six portions of DLC, one of which is «Episode Aigis / The Answer».

We still don't have a release date for Elden Ring's DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, and it's possible we won't get one anytime soon. That's at least according to a financial report from FromSoftware's parent company, Kadokawa, which says that Shadow of the Erdtree is still in the works, but it doesn't have a release date it can share with us "at this time".

Elden Ring is a pretty tough game. Sure, most FromSoftware fans would probably tell you it's the easiest to beat, thanks to the Mimic Tear and the ability to overlevel to your heart's content, but it still has Malenia, Blade of Miquella and a whole host of bosses that will grab your health bar and beat you to death with it. That's what fans of Elden Ring and the Souls series like though, and it wouldn't be a true FromSoftware experience if you didn't encounter an absolute brick wall of a challenge.

Tekken 8's upcoming DLC characters have reportedly leaked online.

Much hay is made of the concepting of Batman villains, especially from 60s TV series ft. Adam West. It's done within canon, even! The Condiment King was created for the 90s animated series as a play on those kinds of whimisical, pun-focused villains. He shoots sauce and says things like "You just don't cut the mustard, Batman!". Maybe when you have to put out at least one issue a month, you throw a lot of villain spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks, and once something does you then go about making "guy who has a thing for the calendar" more of a rounded character - a sinister dude with a weird backstory. Or you make him the world's greatest wife guy.

The turn based strategy game Classified: France ’44 will be released March 5th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, Team 17 has revealed. Set during WWII in Nazi occupied France, players control a squad of Jedburghs, members of the French Resistance. The game will feature an RPG system so you can specialise your squad as they fight to liberate France.

Dragon Quest Builders, which originally released in 2016, is coming to PC on February 13th, Square Enix has confirmed. The game will be available exclusively through Steam, and completes the franchises presence on the platform. Dragon Quest Builders 2 is already available on PC, with those who own it available to get the original at a discount.

Catching Pokémoncan be exhausting these days. At time of publication, there are more than 1,000 different species of the fictional monsters. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet don’t contain the full National Pokédex, but the base game has 400 Pokémon and hundreds more when you count additional monsters added in the DLC. Even when trying to complete the reduced Pokédex, the process of collecting creatures can be a slog. Now, playing Palworld, I can breathe a sigh of relief. For the first time in a long time, it feels I can finally “catch ’em all,” with under 150 Pals in the game.

Tekken 8 is finally here, and fans are finally getting their hands on the game's familiar roster, as well as newcomers such as Azucena, Victor, and Reina. However, now that we know which character are in the base roster, attention has turned to potential DLC and guest characters that could be added in the future. In terms of guest characters, there seems to be only one name on the minds of fans, and that's Tifa Lockheart from Final Fantasy 7.

Final Fantasy 7 fans, also known as Tifa Lockhart fans, have a suggestion for veteran Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada: Put Tifa in Tekken 8. A talented Pokemon fan artist designed both a baby version of Smeargle and a new evolution for Weezing. When it comes to Pokemon fan art, creating new evolutions, or even pre-evolutions, is a fairly common practice. These genres of fan art are popular as they take familiar creatures and showcase them in unfamiliar ways.

A Canadian cake designer created an incredible Pokemon treat that depicted Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard across multiple layers. They demonstrated how each cake layer was accessed in a short video on social media, and other Pokemon trainers complimented the baker for their efforts and creativity.

However, it's origin and how much it differs from the controller designs leaked in December mean the image might not be the real deal. We don't know much about The Witcher 4, aside from that it's kicking off a new trilogy. However, a new Dark Horse comic is set to explore the aftermath of The Witcher 3 while we wait, ripping Geralt out of retirement while also confirming who he settled down with at the end of its last DLC.

Splatoon 3 fans woke up to big news this morning. After initially being slated for Spring 2024, the second wave of the game’s DLC is getting a bump up. It’s now scheduled to be released toward the end of next month.

That's when Wave 2 of the Splatoon 3 expansion pass, which features Side Order as the star of the show, goes live, and it's when players can explore the Spire of Order, a brand new location.

Outsiders of the Ace Attorney series might not be familiar with the name Apollo Justice, but fans know the character is a big deal. He's second only to Phoenix Wright in terms of playable appearances, and his new collection, the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, gathers all of those outings in one convenient package. While there's not much new content, quality-of-life improvements and a visual overhaul do a lot to modernize Apollo's courtroom saga, making it a worthwhile journey for fans new and old.

After a decade of perfecting the narrative-driven, action-adventure formula, PlayStation’s first-party games are tackling a new genre: the roguelike. Both God of War Ragnarök and the recently released The Last of Us Part II Remastered have their own roguelike modes that remix the core combat of their respective games into a repeatable action premise. At a quick glance, they’re very similar. Both modes have players cutting through arenas filled with enemies and grabbing new upgrades en route to a final boss battle.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is pretty much done now in terms of DLC, and it all culminated in a prologue that was essentially one big Mystery Gift event. By receiving the Mythical Pecha Berry Gift and taking it to Moussui Town, we all got to experience a final ending to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet that allowed us to capture a new Mythical Pokemon in Pecharunt.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a fantastic Metroidvania reimagining of the historic series, but it is far from the first reinvention the franchise has seen under Ubisoft. The most iconic one was 2003’s The Sands of Time, which Ubisoft is currently remaking. That’s not the one I decided to play after beating and adoring The Lost Crown, though. That honor goes to 2008’s Prince of Persia.

In case you missed it, two new amiibo have a street date of today, January 19, 2024. I know, these things pop up unexpectedly! Those two additions are Noah and Mio, two of the primary protagonists from 2022’s Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The Elder Scrolls Online just announced its newest chapter, Gold Road, taking us back to Cyrodiil and Skingrad. But while all of the DLC staples like new dungeons, quests, and world events are present, something is missing.

For many Persona fans, the absolute banger soundtracks are a make or break of the overall experience. Getting to listen to great music during the Dark Hour makes the time fly by. Rock Band 4’s weekly DLC drops are coming to an end. Harmonix said Wednesday the upcoming batch of new songs on January 25 will be the game’s last. Although all other live services will remain active, the developer plans to give full attention to the Rock Band-like Fortnite Festival, a rhythm game inside Epic’s digital world.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be coming to Switch on July 11th, Bandai Namco has confirmed. This release of the game will come with some of the DLC, six of them in fact, with some bonuses too.
