Housemarque's critically acclaimed sci-fi game Returnal celebrates its third anniversary with an all-new graphic novel. While fans eagerly awaited news of potential DLC or a sequel for Returnal after yesterday's tease, it turns out the Finnish developer had something else in mind to commemorate the occasion.

A new leak about Genshin Impact's rumored Imaginarium Theater game mode is teasing even more rewards players can pick up by completing its challenges, with plenty of Primogems available. The popular RPG from HoYoverse offers players a variety of ways to earn its most coveted currency, rewarding players with Primogems for completing quests, opening chests, and unlocking waypoints. HoYoverse also often distributes special codes Genshin Impact players can redeem for a few free Primogems. The newest leaks from a rumored game mode are now hinting at even more Primogem rewards.

Don't Nod Entertainment, known for creating the Life Is Strange franchise, has released the trailer for the new game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. This is one of seven games that Don't Nod has in development, along with puzzler Koira and a still-unnamed action RPG.

A new leak from Genshin Impact is teasing several Domains coming as part of the game's Version 4.7 update in June, showing off four new locations. The Fontaine cycle for the massively popular HoYoverse RPG has brought plenty of areas for players to explore within the world of Teyvat, both inside and outside the new region. Fontaine has received multiple expansions since its 4.0 launch, and the Liyue region finally saw the release of the long-rumored Chenyu Vale. Now, Version 4.7 is set to introduce a plethora of Domains for players to explore.

Some Helldivers 2 players are unhappy with the bullet ricochet changes implemented with Update 01.000.300. Patch days have always been somewhat contentious within the Helldivers 2 community, often because of the introduced balance changes included with the patch along with the wave of bug reports that follow in the wake of every update. Its latest patch was, unfortunately, no exception to the established pattern, and many players have since flocked to social media to call for a quick fix to what appears to be a problem with the game's ricochet mechanic.

Funko Fusion has been treated to a release date, with 10:10 Games revealing that its upcoming action adventure is set to hit the market on September 13. The announcement was accompanied by the launch of pre-orders for select versions of Funko Fusion, whose physical edition will be distributed in partnership with Skybound Entertainment's gaming division.

Bandai Namco promised a balance patch for Tekken 8 this Spring, and based on the recent notes, it’s a doozy. Going live on May 7th at 7 PM PDT, Ver.1.04.00 contains adjustments to several fighters. Right off the bat, characters like Asuka, Bryan, Jack-8, Panda, Zafina, and Kuma have received some buffs, improving the usability of the game’s new Heat mechanics or further carving a niche for them.

After teasing a Returnal-related announcement for today, Housemarque has announced a graphical novel for its rogue-like third-person shooter – Returnal: Fallen Asteria. For all long as the Fallout franchise has been around, it has never been set outside of the United States. Of course, its over-the-top, retro-futuristic Americana satirization is a core aspect of what makes Fallout, Fallout, but on new few occasions, large chunks of the series’ fanbase have wondered how locations outside of the US are faring in Fallout’s post-apocalyptic setting, and whether they could fare as suitable settings for a future Fallout game.

DON’T NOD recently announced that Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, its next narrative adventure, would launch in late 2024. The new trailer showcased Swann, one of the main characters, and some locations in Velvet Core. Paradise Killer developer Kaizen Game Works has announced Promise Mascot Agency, an “open-world mascot management crime drama” coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2025. It was developed in collaboration with Ikumi Nakamura and Mai Mattori.

Mortal Kombat 1’s next Kameo fighter is Mavado, the high-ranking commander of the ancient Red Dragon clan, and his release date has just been revealed. While Mortal Kombat 1’s main roster consists of revamped versions of classic characters in a brand-new timeline, the secondary Kameo fighter line-up contains the time-displaced original versions of combatants from across the old Mortal Kombat games. These older incarnations can be summoned to help the player during matches, adding new combos and strategies to Mortal Kombat 1’s gameplay.

After announcing it last month, Odd Bug Studios has released a new gameplay trailer for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. Debuting with the game's launch, the Simulated Universe has become one of the most popular permanent game modes for the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG. All existing and future pre-orders for Gundam Breaker 4 in the Americas will receive a free upgrade to the newly announced Launch Edition, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Crafts & Meister announced.

Alien Day 2024 came and went this past Friday, celebrating Ridley Scott’s acclaimed Aliens franchise. While a new VR title,Alien: Rogue Incursion, was announced for this Holiday, Cold Iron Studios’ Aliens: Fireteam Elite also received a free update.

Capcom has fully unveiled the upcoming DLC character Akuma for Street Fighter 6, confirming that the iconic fighter will be available to players starting May 22. Alongside the announcement, Capcom showcased Akuma's gameplay, highlighting both familiar and new moves that fans can expect from the character in Street Fighter 6.

Bandai Namco reveals a new free update roadmap full of content like stages and game modes, while also confirming that Lidia Sobieska will be joining the Tekken 8 roster as the second season 1 DLC character. It's been an interesting road for Tekken 8 since it launched in January to acclaim reviews and bypassed numerous sales milestones. In fact, Tekken 8 quickly overtook its predecessor in sales, claiming 2 million copies sold in less than 3 weeks.

Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead has just released patch 01.000.300 addressing various aspects, including weapons, stratagems, enemies, and missions. This update aims to enhance the gameplay and address community feedback. The long patch notes cover several weapon buffs, damage balancing, increased level cap and more. The update also added new planetary hazards in Helldivers 2.

Spaceship repair simulation game Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in November, publisher Kasedo Games and developer Beard Envy announced.

Street Fighter 6 downloadable content character Akuma will launch on May 22, Capcom announced. Akuma will be unlocked for owners of the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, or Year 1 Character Pass.

Square Enix’sSaGa Emerald Beyond launched last week as the first mainline sequel in the cult-classic franchise since 2016’sSaGa: Scarlet Grace. Unfortunately, this may be all fans get for the time being. In a new Steam Community post, the developer said there aren’t any plans for DLC.

Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 has a busy year ahead, but first, there will be a balance patch this Spring. Before you count the days till it ends, the developer has confirmed that the “first battle balance adjustments” for the season are “coming soon.” Patch notes for update 1.04 will also go live tomorrow.

Genshin Impact 's version 4.7 will reportedly introduce at least four events that consist of challenges. Genshin Impact adds different types of events every month, allowing players to earn Primogems they can use to buy Intertwined Fates or purchase battle pass levels. These timed exclusive festivities offer storytelling, exploration, combat, and mini-games in which players take on waves of enemies. Some events in Genshin Impact, such as Vibro-Crystal, Misty Dungeon, and Windtrace, get their rerun once a year.

Hell, it turns out, isn't always a bubbly pool of magma where like, devils prod you with forks. There is a second hell in Helldivers 2, a hell made up of wartorn planets and soldiers who fight bile-spewing bugs and robots. And it is a hell that is subject to patches. One such update has nerfed a bunch of weapons including the popular quasar cannon. It's also increased the number of enemy patrols based on player numbers and tweaked the game's level generation, with the former making life more difficult in hell, and the latter possibly making things more interesting.
