Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, the successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, has received a new gameplay trailer. The theme is “Master and Apprentice” and reveals ten additional playable characters, including some fan-favorites. Check it out below.
The characters in question have all been previously confirmed and include Gohan in his Kid, Adult and Future forms (with regular and Super Saiyan versions to choose from). Trunks is also playable, complete with his sword and Super Saiyan form. Videl, Gohan’s partner, and Master Roshi, Goku’s teacher and creator of the Kamehameha, are also included.
However, perhaps the biggest inclusions are Beerus, the God of Destruction, and Whis, his attendant. Each character has different master/teach relationships, with Gohan training Trunks in the future and Videl in the present, while Whis served as Beerus’s teacher.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, though a release date hasn’t been announced. Check out even more confirmed characters here, including Broly, Hit and Toppo.
