One of the most bizarre yet compelling puzzle titles in recent years is making its way over to Xbox consoles. THA Limited and Enhance’s Humanity, released last year for PlayStation and PC via Steam, and the acclaimed puzzle action title will soon be opening the gates for a new audience.
Enhance has announced that Humanity is releasing for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on May 30. On the same day, the game will also become available on PC via the Windows Store. Meanwhile, on both PC and Xbox, Humanity will also be available via Game Pass.
Humanity sees players playing as a god-like Shiba Inu that is capable of controlling massive hordes of mindless and faceless humans. The game tasks players with guiding oceans of humanity through increasingly complex puzzle courses. Outside of a meaty campaign, a level editor mode is also included, which allows players to share their creations with each other online.
In our review of Humanity, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Humanity delivers some excellent puzzle gameplay in a weird, unique setting, and constantly ups the complexity and challenge in new and creative ways that should be experienced by all fans of the genre.” Read the full review through here.

Former Microsoft senior PR lead Brad Hilderbrand has blogged about the recent closure of Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, making a familiar case that Microsoft’s gaming division are now expected “to cut expenses to the bone” in the wake of the wildly expensive acquisition of Activision Blizzard and amid slowing growth of the Game Pass subscription business. In Hilderbrand’s view, Game Pass will likely never be sustainable or profitable. Microsoft’s only chance on this front, he says, is “to put all the world's biggest games on the service” – namely, Call of Duty, which still earns hundreds of millions annually in direct sales, or GTA 6, which, hahahaha.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of two more games coming this year in the form of Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2and Lords of the Fallen. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons populate Game Pass' May calendar, all leading up to the long-awaited release of Ninja Theory's Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 on the 21st.
A recent report from a reputable Xbox insider suggests that one of 2023's biggest Soulslikes, Lords of the Fallen, could be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future. If true, the addition of this relatively new AAA game to the popular subscription service would mark yet another major inclusion to Xbox Game Pass, which has received consistent, quality content in recent months.
