Reeves portrayed one of the major characters in the game, Johnny Silverhand, a Rockerboy who died in 2023 during an assault on Arasaka Tower, but lives on in a prototype Relic in V's head, appearing to comment on actions throughout the game, and even assuming control of V's body at certain points.

Although the quest doesn't have any major repercussions on 's multiple endings, this can still feel like a difficult choice to make. A Easter egg has revealed a creepy obsession with the ex-soldier and Rockerboy, Johnny Silverhand. Despite dying in 2023, 54 years prior to the events of V's story in the game, Silverhand and his band, Samurai still have some die-hard fans in Night City, even if some of the younger generation seem to show little interest.

With several updates since 's 2020 launch, players can immerse themselves in the shady criminal underworld of Night City better than ever before. However, adding one feature to the game's Cyberware and physical appearance mechanic could add yet another layer to this immersion.

has many minigames, but only one of them is deserving of a full release. From the delightfully buggy auto-scroller platforming of to the run-and-gun action of, Night City is full of arcade treasures for V to get sucked into. Of course, by 2077, most interactive entertainment has been replaced by Braindances, or BDs, neural recreations of all the thoughts, emotions, and feelings a real individual experienced while doing something thrilling. But arcade cabinets still line the back walls of shops, restaurants, and bars, and the denizens of Night City frequently compete for high scores in some of the day's biggest releases.

's 2.1 update has included several new changes, and while it makes one aspect of the game much harder, it greatly improves its portrayal of one particular character: Adam Smasher. From the moment he first appeared during the Arasaka heist, the company's massively cybernetically enhanced head of security, Adam Smasher, was built up to be an intimidating foe.

's 2.1 update launched on December 5, 2023 — the same day as the release of the Ultimate Edition bundle — and included a wealth of new, highly requested features. These included the highly requested metro system seen in trailers and other promotional material prior to the game's 2020 release, enhanced gameplay mechanics, improved boss battles, and more. Adam Smasher is supposed to be a near-legendary threat to Night City itself, built up through in-game and out-of-game lore. As the final boss of and a memorable character in the anime, he should have been an epic battle that players made it through by the barest of margins. Instead, he was a relative weakling and a huge letdown for players once they went toe-to-toe with him as V. After patch 2.1, however, he is much closer to the reputation that precedes him.

Cast your mind back to Cyberpunk 2077's E3 2018 trailer and you might remember Night City's metro system playing a prominent role — which was why its absence as a fully functional transportation service was so notable come the game's beleagured release in December 2020. Three years later though, CD Projekt has announced it's restoring the long-missing rideable metro system in a surprise 2.1 update arriving next Tuesday, 5th December.

CD Projekt Red is releasing a physical and digital Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition that features the new and improved Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty.

When you first come across a Delamain car in , its location will be marked on the map so that you can start a major side quest right after. There are six Delamain cars in total, and V will be tasked to find all of them in Night City. However, unlike the first car, the rest will not be marked on the map, and you will have to locate them without any clues or guidance. Finding all of them will reward V with a lot of Street Cred, EXP, and Eurodollars (Eddies).

has many easter eggs and secrets that players can uncover, including a Secret Dev Room hidden behind a market. Other secrets, such as tarot graffiti tarot cards and references to 's anime,, can be found in Night City if you explore. While many of these secrets can be uncovered quite easily, the Secret Dev Room is not meant to be found by players easily. However, if you are determined to locate this easter egg, there is a way.

Cyberpunk's 2.02 patch has hit, bringing with it a surfeit of tweaks, fixes, and improvements to Night City in the wake of the game's sweeping 2.0 update and accompanying redemption arc. As usual there's a whole lot of bullet points here, and I'll put the full patch notes below, but there are a couple of entries worth highlighting in particular.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty seriously impressed me with its RPG reactivity⁠—the written-in bits that show CD Projekt Red anticipated and accounted for players' actions. The goofy rocket guy easter egg was certainly fun, but I'm thinking more in terms of life path-exclusive dialogue or main game events that get a nod in Phantom Liberty.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an absolutely massive game, and the recently released Phantom Liberty DLC has made it even bigger. Trying to account for every single thing that players can do in a game this big must have been pretty difficult for developer for CD Projekt Red, but that doesn't mean it was impossible. It seems like the studio is well aware of the stupidity that Cyberpunk 2077 players are capable of, and has called out someone who tried to ruin one of Phantom Liberty's more emotional endings. Be warned, we're heading to spoiler town.

The Samurai Jacket from is the iconic outfit worn by V in the game's initial promotional material. While this Bomber jacket isn't hard to acquire, it can be easily missed if you only play the main story and ignore Side Gigs. The Samurai Bomber Jacket is perhaps one of the coolest outfits from a game that incorporates vibrant lighting in the collar and also has good stats for players to take advantage of. But to get the jacket, you will have to progress the main story to a certain point and start a side gig when it becomes available.

I don't think I'm spoiling too much off the jump by saying that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's endings are emotionally charged and more than a little bit devastating. It is also a natural gamer behavior to goof around in such moments, but as reported by VG247, CD Projekt Red seems to have anticipated players attempting to bork one such scene, inserting hidden dialogue to reflect their apparent death drive. Spoilers for Phantom Liberty ahead.

Like many of CD Projekt RED's games, 's DLC contains a great number of excellently concealed Easter eggs, hidden details, and subtle pop-culture references. Cyberpunk 2077 is not afraid to include the odd reference the another game or TV show here and there. You can find several scattered throughout Night City, including little nods to Death Stranding, Mortal Kombat, Blade Runner, and a lot more. You also probably won't be surprised to hear that CD Projekt Red loves to reference its previous work too, as you'll find several references to The Witcher 3 on top of all the other cool easter eggs.

's main story is all about becoming a legendary edgerunner in Night City and getting Johnny Silverhand's relic out of V's head, but a distinct highlight of the game is romancing some of its key characters. Romancing Judy or Panam seem to be the most popular of the game's five options, but each have an associated storyline worth playing through even if love's not on the agenda. The release of, 's first and only expansion, has brought with it the 2.0 update and a significant overhaul to the whole game. Included in 's new story is Songbird, a major character working for the President of the New United States of America, but the DLC doesn't seem to extend any new offerings of romance.

There’s a lot to do in the 2.0 version of Cyberpunk 2077. You can engage in some high-speed vehicle combat, or re-do all your cyberware. Or, maybe, go find an old retro cabinet to while away the hours in Night City. There’s still a secret or two to find in Cyberpunk, it seems.

The Phantom Liberty Expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 has a total of four endings — and if you side with a new character, you can actually end the main story in a totally new way. There’s a full main ending added to the original campaign involving an important character from the Phantom Liberty DLC, and we’ll explain how this new ending works. It’s (relatively) simple to unlock, even if it’s also surprisingly cruel to our old pal Johnny Silverhand. As far as alternate endings go, this is one of the most fun. Just don’t choose this as your first ending to Cyberpunk 2077. You’ll miss out on the entire final mission. When V started coughing up blood during a conversation with Johnny Silverhand, I thought Cyberpunk 2077 was really trying to drive home the urgency of my ticking time bomb of a brain.
