As part of CD Projekt Red's Investor Day event today, the Polish company shared new sales figures for Cyberpunk 2077 and its recently released Phantom Liberty expansion.
The expansion sold 3 million copies in its first week. The majority of sales (35.9%) came from North America, followed by Europe (35.1%), Asia (23.1%), Australia (2.8%), South America (2.7%), and Africa (0.4%). In terms of breakdown by platform, PC dominated, making up a whopping 68% of sales for Phantom Liberty. PS5 (20%), Xbox Series X|S (13%), and GOG (10%) rounded out the other platforms (this is not in addition to the 68% of PC).

CD Projekt Red also announced that 360 people from CD Projekt Red itself worked on the Phantom Liberty expansion. In total, 3,600 people were «engaged» in the project, though the company did not say if this is the total number of people working on the game at once or if it was over the course of the expansion's development over the years.
Additionally, it was confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold more than 25 million copies. Whether or not this figure includes returns that people got following the game's problematic launch in 2020 is unknown. The game sold 13.7 million copies--the majority of lifetime sales--in its first three weeks back in 2020.
Phantom Liberty is Cyberpunk 2077's one and only expansion. It brings back Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhand and introduces a character named Solomon Reed, who is played by Idris Elba. The expansion did not come to PS4 and Xbox One. For more, check out GameSpot's 10/10 review of Phantom Liberty.
CD Projekt Red is now developing a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and is making a live-action project with Anonymous Content.
