I don’t think it’s really possible to quantify the “worst game of all time” or even compare kusoge that well. There are so many ways that a game can be deficient, and it’s hard to say what the worst way is.

It's been over a week since the release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and it's safe to say that RGG Studio's latest RPG has been a hit. Its unique brand of madness (and massive marketing campaign) has allowed the game to reach people who wouldn't normally be interested in the series — and so we're very interested in hearing what everyone thinks of Ichiban's big adventure.

Venerable publisher SEGA has been around for a long time. It was founded, appropriately enough, in Hawaii back in 1960. In its latest game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (which ventures to the tropical locale), SEGA couldn't help but give itself a pat on the back via a fourth-wall-breaking conversation between protagonists Ichiban Kazuga and Kazuma Kiryu.

SEGA has issued a financial warning after what it described as «sluggish» and «weak» sales over the crucial holiday 2023 period, traditionally when sales peak. The venerable publisher and developer has revised its sales and profit forecast appropriately downward to compensate.

Persona 3 Reload launched on PS5 and PS4 on Friday, introducing a new generation to the Dark Hour and giving veterans the best way yet to relive the adventure. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launched earlier this week, featuring the same open-world exploration and turn-based RPG battle mechanics as its predecessor, Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Prior to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the franchise was a beat-em-up action brawler that saw players exploring open-world cities. Many fans believe that a lot of Like a Dragon's mechanics can be traced back to fellow Sega IP, Shenmue.

The release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has made it one of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's biggest launches to date, surpassing the last peak record of concurrent players on the Steam platform. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth mainline game in the long-running franchise, featuring the same turn-based RPG combat and open-world exploration as its predecessor, Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth received widespread critical acclaim from critics in the lead-up to its release, becoming the highest-rated game in the series to date, and it seems that’s being reflected in how the game is performing. Having launched earlier today, the game has got off to a solid start, if its Steam numbers are any indication.

Details about four potential new Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO sets have been leaked online, which are slated to come out later this summer and fall. Fans of the Like A Dragon series aren't happy about streamer Felix «xQc» Lengyel promoting Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The latest Like A Dragon game will release on January 26, but xQc was able to play the game early for a sponsored stream.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has looked quite promising in the lead-up to its launch, but though there’s plenty about the upcoming RPG that has turned quite a few heads, publisher Sega is making some decisions that aren’t proving popular with the community.

Evidence from an early Persona 5 build indicates that Atlus originally planned to incorporate cameos of characters from Persona 4. The original Persona 5 had a troubled development and was delayed multiple times before its eventual release in 2016. Yakuza fans really aren't happy that xQc was chosen to show off Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth before its launch, with many pointing out his lack of interest and familiarity with the series.

Other than an Acclaim-style stunt where you offer people £500 to tattoo their baby's face with the game logo, I'd say perhaps releasing a Quake mod. So here's Episode Enyo, a prequel to upcoming "biopunk" hack 'n' slasher Slave Zero X, now available as a Bethesda-approved free add-on inside Quake.

PTW, a support studio that's worked with some of the industry's biggest companies like Blizzard, Capcom, and Sega, has laid off about 45 people, as first reported by Kotaku. PTW was previously called Pole To Win and its services include quality assurance, studio support, and localization. Last week, on January 11, someone with knowledge of the studio told Kotaku about the layoffs, noting that roughly 45 people lost their jobs. 

The Sega Saturn never stood a chance. From day one it was hobbled by a surprise launch annoying gaming retailers and was soon in a one-sided brawl against Sony’s all-conquering PlayStation. Creative Assembly has announced a free update for strategy game Total War: Pharaoh will be available from next week.

Back in December, Creative Assembly posted a lengthy apology to players for their recent handling of the Total War strategy series, in particular Total War: Warhammer 3 and Total War: Pharoah. Seeking to smooth down feathers ruffled by overpricing and buggy launches, to pick out two of the biggest fan complaints, the developers offered to - amongst other things - make Pharoah’s first paid DLC pack a free update.

Persona 5: The Phantom X may launch outside of China, as some newly emerged evidence suggests the upcoming mobile game has already been approved for release in South Korea. Atlus's fandom has been calling for Persona 5: The Phantom X to get an international release for nearly a full year by now.

A notable Persona leaker recently gave fans an update regarding a rumored spin-off game. This information comes from MbKKssTBhz5, or Midori, who has shared plenty of leaks regarding Atlus' projects. This includes a supposed release window for Persona 6, along with accurate leaks of Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload before their official announcements. One game that Midori also leaked was a spin-off codenamed «Asa.»

Sega is kicking off 2024 with a new Sonic Superstars update. Last year was jam-packed with exciting Sonic content, and this was capped off with the release of Sonic Superstars in October. In contrast to Sonic Frontiers’ open-world 3D approach, Superstars harkens back to the Blue Blur’s side-scrolling heyday with a 2D platforming experience that sees Sonic and his friends race to stop a trio of villains under the leadership of Dr. Eggman. Sonic Superstars added a few new tricks to the traditional, fast-paced Sonic gameplay, such as unlockable Chaos Emerald powers and co-op and competitive multiplayer modes.
