Persona Leaker Gives Update on Rumored Spin-Off Game

A new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero revealed some of the transformations that the iconic duo of Goku and Vegeta can use in the game, along with some of their attacks. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is one of the most anticipated games for Dragon Ball fans, as it is a continuation of the classic Budokai Tenkaichi fighting game series. While fans were treated to a brief teaser during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023, a full reveal trailer for Sparking Zero was shown off during The Game Awards 2023 in December.

According to the vice president of Asus India, Arnold Su, a second-generation successor of the Asus ROG Ally gaming handheld is planned to be released sometime this year. The Asus ROG Ally is a handheld gaming console that is capable of providing a gaming experience on the go while also functioning as a Windows 11 PC. This allows it to play a variety of PC games, including both the Steam and Xbox Game Pass libraries.

Tekken 8 is off to a solid start on Steam, as it has surpassed the previous game's concurrent player count on the platform. Tekken 8 is the eighth mainline game in the long-running fighting game franchise, being touted as the grand finale of the Mishima Family storyline. A number of impressive fighting games were released in 2023, with major releases like Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1 being praised by fans and critics alike. With that in mind, Tekken 8 had a lot to live up to, and fortunately it seems to be doing just that.

I (rightly) started my Yakuza playthrough with 0, jumping between Goro Majima and Kazuma Kiryu’s beginnings in the world of a cutthroat criminal empire back in the ‘80s. I wouldn’t change a thing, since it sets up Kiwami perfectly and made me care about all of the short-lived characters that kickstarted the first game and series as a whole, but I was disappointed that Majima never returned as a fully-fledged protagonist. He was as much the heart of 0 as Kiryu, and was shown to be as rich and in-depth a character as the face of Yakuza himself.

Due to an issue with its branding, the developers of the fan-made Bloodborne Kart announced that the demake-styled kart racer will be delayed to an unknown release date. Back in 2022, independent developer FanSoftware created a PS1-style demake of FromSoftware's Bloodborne. It had aimed to turn the gothic PS4 Soulslike adventure into a game that would fit the more limited capabilities of the original PlayStation. After this demake was released, the developers revealed they were working on a game that is usually considered a running joke in the fandom, Bloodborne Kart.

Ahead of the launch of Atlus' upcoming Persona 3 Reload, a full list of trophies for the game has appeared online. Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the 2006 original, and players are tasked with defeating the Shadows that appear during a full moon. Atlus has been giving fans plenty of information before the game's release, such as details on Persona 3 Reload's day one DLC, gameplay trailers, and explanations of how some of the new mechanics work.

Details about four potential new Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO sets have been leaked online, which are slated to come out later this summer and fall. Sega and LEGO have partnered previously to create elaborate LEGO sets based on Sonic the Hedgehog, the first of these being released at the beginning of 2022. In addition, 2023 saw five new Sonic LEGO sets launched, which featured Sonic, Tails, and Amy.

Evidence from an early Persona 5 build indicates that Atlus originally planned to incorporate cameos of characters from Persona 4. The original Persona 5 had a troubled development and was delayed multiple times before its eventual release in 2016. As a result of its development troubles, there were some things left on the cutting room floor.

A notable Sega leaker has stated that the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is getting a spin-off game that is allegedly similar to Mediatonic's Fall Guys. The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise had an excellent 2023, between the release of Sonic Superstars, Sonic Frontiers' post-launch updates, and the launch of the Apple Arcade exclusive title, Sonic Dream Team. Expectations for Sonic's 2024 are set pretty high as well, with the premiere of various TV shows and the third theatrical live-action film. On top of Sonic's multimedia efforts, a new spin-off game could also be coming out this year too.

Dragon's Dogma 2's creator and director, Hideaki Itsuno, shared some of the inspirations behind the upcoming game's vast open-world map. A sequel to one of Capcom's most acclaimed titles, Dragon's Dogma 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2024, with it aiming to be an experience that surpasses the first game. This can be seen with things like the size of its open world, which is going to be much bigger than the original.

An unannounced Far Cry spin-off game known as Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior has been rated by European classification board PEGI. While nothing official has been announced, this listing suggests a proper unveiling may be on the way soon
