Rumor: Sonic the Hedgehog Could Be Getting a Fall Guys-Like Spin-Off This Year

The Cinematic World of Sonic the Hedgehog — yes, Paramount is calling it that — expands in April with the release of Knuckles, the live-action spinoff of Sega and Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog movies. On Thursday, we got our first look at that Paramount Plus-exclusive series, which might just make you think, “Hey, why isn’t this a movie?”

A new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero revealed some of the transformations that the iconic duo of Goku and Vegeta can use in the game, along with some of their attacks. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is one of the most anticipated games for Dragon Ball fans, as it is a continuation of the classic Budokai Tenkaichi fighting game series. While fans were treated to a brief teaser during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023, a full reveal trailer for Sparking Zero was shown off during The Game Awards 2023 in December.

According to the vice president of Asus India, Arnold Su, a second-generation successor of the Asus ROG Ally gaming handheld is planned to be released sometime this year. The Asus ROG Ally is a handheld gaming console that is capable of providing a gaming experience on the go while also functioning as a Windows 11 PC. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launched earlier this week, featuring the same open-world exploration and turn-based RPG battle mechanics as its predecessor, Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Prior to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the franchise was a beat-em-up action brawler that saw players exploring open-world cities. Many fans believe that a lot of Like a Dragon's mechanics can be traced back to fellow Sega IP, Shenmue.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's PS5 file size is 45 GB. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set within the same universe as the Batman: Arkham games, placing players in the shoes of Task Force X as they face off against some of the DC Universe's most powerful superheroes. Unlike Rocksteady's Batman games, Suicide Squad is a co-op multiplayer adventure that also features some live service elements.

Due to an issue with its branding, the developers of the fan-made Bloodborne Kart announced that the demake-styled kart racer will be delayed to an unknown release date. Back in 2022, independent developer FanSoftware created a PS1-style demake of FromSoftware's Bloodborne. It had aimed to turn the gothic PS4 Soulslike adventure into a game that would fit the more limited capabilities of the original PlayStation. After this demake was released, the developers revealed they were working on a game that is usually considered a running joke in the fandom, Bloodborne Kart.

The release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has made it one of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's biggest launches to date, surpassing the last peak record of concurrent players on the Steam platform. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth mainline game in the long-running franchise, featuring the same turn-based RPG combat and open-world exploration as its predecessor, Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

League of Legends developer Riot has announced that its upcoming Stardew Valley-style spin-off will be the last game in its promising indie effort.

Developer Rocksteady Studios has pulled back the curtains on the free seasonal content coming to Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League after the game's launch on February 2. Season 1 will kick off in March and includes the most famous villain in the DC roster: The Joker. Not only is The Joker joining the game, but he'll be a new playable member of the Suicide Squad. 

CD Projekt Red plans to kick off the production phase of The Witcher 4 this year, according to the Studio Head and Joint CEO Adam Badowski.
