Patch 10.2.6 added a Dragonflight meta achievement, A World Awoken — This achievement requires you to complete a plethora of activity all around the Dragon Isles to help usher in a new Age of Dragons. This achievement awards the mount Good Boy's Leash, which gives Taivan as a mount. In, players can unlock Avatar Korra and themed cosmetics from. Korra is available to Battle Pass owners as part of the Avatar Set, but her quests will challenge even the most skilled and experienced players. After dropping a new teaser yesterday announcing the release date, Asphalt Legends has just given us some more scoop on their upcoming game, Asphalt Legends Unite. The game drops on July 17th, 2024, making it the first-ever expansion in the Asphalt series.

Blizzard has released a new bluepost highlighting the features of Season 4, from the eight original Dragonflight dungeons to Fated raid mount, title, and teleport rewards! Also teased is a new Awakened upgrade track and currency called Antique Bronze Bullion, which sounds like a new name for Dinar! Another standout is that the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon will not be a part of the Mythic+ rotation, but its baseline item level and difficulty will be increased.

The Dragon's Dogma 2 community has been left shaken by the existence of Dragonsplague – a deadly illness introduced in the sequel that can result in entire towns being killed. Left unchecked, the contagious disease –  which can be spread game-to-game by hiring infected Pawns – has the potential to result in numerous NPCs, including important quest-givers, being wiped out overnight. 

Earlier this month, a demo for action-RPG Stellar Blade hit the PlayStation Store and was pulled moments later, but now weeks later Sony has finally confirmed that the real launch of that demo is coming very soon.

Stellar Blade's demo is returning to PS5 after it was added and then quickly removed from the PS store earlier this month. It seems that the initial release of the demo was accidental. This time, it's been officially announced by Sony, rather than shadowdropped without any fanfare.

Dragon's Dogma 2 players are getting their save files absolutely destroyed by Dragonsplague, as the game severely punishes anyone who ignores the signs of this mysterious illness. If you keep an afflicted pawn in your party for too long, the results will be much worse than having an uncooperative party member and could stop you from making progress in the story.

This Feat of Strength has no reward besides the achievement itself, similar to Plunder Wonder, so if you're looking for the collectibles, you won't miss out on anything by not achieving it. The final reward for Plunderstorm unlocks at Renown 40, which requires 100,000 Plunder.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes an unorthodox approach with many of its gameplay systems, from its reliance on slow travel to its loss gauge system that punishes players for dying repeatedly. Another aspect of Capcom’s game that’s similarly onerous is it save system. Dragon’s Dogma 2 bucks tradition when it comes to player choice concerning saves — there’s no save scumming in this role-playing game.

It seems odd that Activision would release Call of Duty Warzone Mobile when it already has a hugely successful Call of Duty mobile game making millions of dollars for the company. But from a business perspective it makes sense. Call of Duty Mobile, the 2019 mobile first-person shooter spin-off that has seen 650 million downloads since launch, is developed by Tencent-owned TiMi Studio Group, and so not all the huge profits it generates benefit Activision’s bottom line. Call of Duty Warzone Mobile, on the other hand, is developed entirely in-house at Activision, and so the company gets a bigger slice of the revenue pie every time a player drops cash on a battle pass.

There’s nothing quite like a night at the theatre. The next season of Overwatch 2 will introduced a new hero, Venture, and a new way to unlock them. Instead of having to pay for the game’s premium battle pass or unlock that new hero through dozens of hours of gameplay, Blizzard will make Venture and all future heroes available to free for all players when they launch.

Microsoft unveiled the batch of titles coming to its gaming subscription service throughout the back half of March. Quite a few awesome titles are making their way to the service, but by far, the most notable addition is Diablo IV, the first Activision Blizzard game being made available on Xbox Game Pass.

A lot of video games, media and works of art took on a whole new meaning in the 2020s, despite not directly addressing the global pandemic that blighted the start of the decade. Themes of isolation and societal collapse are common in fiction, but revisiting games about stories like that is a bit more harrowing after living through something felt so similar. Very few games directly tackle the idea of life after COVID lockdown, and the fact that Mediterranea Inferno does just that is only one of several reasons why it’s the most unorthodox, unique, and unforgettable visual novels I’ve ever played.
