Evidence of what appears to be a long-running history of exploitive behavior has been uncovered after a series of +30 keys with suspiciously high death counts and impossibly fast boss kills appeared on Raider.io! Using what are most likely anima powers taken out of Torghast, the group of exploiting players managed to complete several +30 keys, including Murozond's Rise, Waycrest Manor, Atal'Dazar, Darkheart Thicket, and Galakrond's Fall. Despite attempting to hide their characters, community resources identified the suspicious runs, as well as identifying information contained within. At this point in time, this does not appear to be a widespread exploit, though it is not a particularly new one either.

After two years slumbering in the coffin of early access, vampire survival game V Rising is lifting off the lid and rising into a full 1.0 release. Having previously been announced with a somewhat vague Q2 launch window, we now know exactly when V Rising’s 1.0 release date will be: May 8th.

After spending six hours with Tribes 3: Rivals at its early access release, I could really get used to skiing around at 200 miles per hour while firing a grenade launcher at weaklings with no mind for speed. Channeling all of the silliness and style the series is known for, this lethal game of capture the flag is packed with moments of satisfying exhilaration and devastating defeat, and it largely nails everything I’ve loved about the Tribes games of yore. The trouble is that it only takes a matter of minutes to see all the maps and try out all the classes and weapons currently available, with no alternate game modes or other distractions beyond an extremely long and demanding ranked skill grind for those truly dedicated to their deadly craft. I fear Tribes 3 may be fated to fizzle out as quickly as some of its predecessors due to that lack of longevity, but the potential here is at least clear from moment one – I’m still excited to play more before I put a final score on this review, even if there’s already little left for me to see.

Since launch late last year, Forza Motorsport has received a bit of a mixed reaction from fans, with one of the biggest criticisms being against the game’s grindy progression system. Vanillaware's tactical role-playing game, , will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 8, 2024. Moomin is one those shows that just sticks in the mind, and is a source of nostalgia. For some that will be due to the books by Tove Jansson,  and for others the animated series that was based on those stories. It’s a series that is wholesome and full of little adventures, with Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley carrying the torch of the books, comics, TV and films into video game form.

It’s clear by now that Helldivers 2 is way more than just a simple bug hunt co-op shooter. On top of its surprisingly deep gameplay mechanics and an ever-evolving campaign narrative, though, there’s a whole extra layer of community-based meta-progression, with Supply Lines being a particularly notable highlight.

Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 probably have the most in-depth romance system that the series has seen. If you enter a relationship with someone, you'll be able to take them on dates and you'll unlock multiple special scenes that play out at set points during the story. The waifu wars have never been quite so engaging.

Video game adaptations of classic literature are relatively few and far between, which is a little surprising considering their popularity in the world of TV and film, if a little more understandable when you think about the comparative lack of action. Even standout examples such as the ludicrous Dante’s Inferno are almost completely unrecognisable from their source material. One of the best exceptions to this rule, however, was the original Regency Solitaire – a game that was clearly heavily inspired by Jane Austen whilst remaining legally distinct. The chilled out gameplay and authentic feeling narrative of that title made it a real joy to play, so I was understandably excited to check out the sequel, Regency Solitaire II.
