Last night we got a full trailer and release date of Frebruary 27th - next week! - and I'm now earnestly very excited. The trailer is both very funny and shows off massive things to clean. After a long wait, PowerWash Simulator developer FuturLab has finally announced the release date for its upcoming collaboration with Games Workshop for a DLC about Warhammer 40,000 with a new trailer. UPDATE 4.45pm UK: Consider me educated. I have looked into this further, and it turns out not only is Trinity the name of the military order in the rebooted Tomb Raider games, but it is also the code name for the first detonation of a nuclear weapon, which was conducted by the United States Army back in 1945. And that could be what the Tomb Raider website is referring to. Whoops!

NieR: Automata’s 2B joins the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising on February 20th as its second DLC character. After a brief tease in December, Cygames has revealed the full trailer, showcasing her combos, Super Skybound Art and Cinematic Finisher. Check it out below.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the second instalment in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, is out in a matter of days, and excitement surrounding its release is sky high. Given the very nature of the series and the rabid fandom the Final Fantasy 7 in particular generally goes hand-in-hand with, it’s no surprise, that there are many who also already have their eye on the trilogy’s third and final instalment as well. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth received an in-depth look at PlayStation's latest State of Play showcase, where publisher Square Enix announced that a demo for the game will be made available Wednesday on the PS5. The playable demo, currently available to download on the PlayStation Store, will allow players to take control of both the protagonist Cloud Strife and the antagonist Sephiroth in an early section of the game. Along with the announcement, Square Enix also debuted an 11-minute-long gameplay footage from the upcoming action RPG, showcasing the world map, modes of traversal, minigames and more.

Announced last month, NieR: Automata’s 2B will arrive in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising on February 20th. The news was revealed during the fighting game’s Top 8 Finals at Frosty Faustings 2024. She’s included in Character Pass 1 but can also be purchased separately for $7.99. 2B’s launch is included with the Version 1.2 update, which includes the option to use Weapon Cutouts in online lobbies.

NieR Reincarnation is shutting down on April 29, Square Enix has announced. This sad day for fans of the franchise will arrive less than three years after NieR Reincarnation was released for Android and iOS devices.

Square Enix has confirmed that mobile title NieR Re[in]carnation will be shutdown on April 30th, 2024. This will follow the conclusion of the game’s story, with the final part of that being released on March 29th. That will essentially give players just the month to play through the final part of NieR Re[in]carnation.

To close off the month of January, Final Fantasy 14 will play host to another Moogle Treasure Trove event, but this one will be different from its predecessors. The updated Moogle Treasure Trove event for Final Fantasy 14 will give players more objectives to do, such as ocean fishing and Gold Saucer events, to earn the currency needed to claim some rewards.
