NetherRealm has released the first trailer for Mortal Kombat 1’s next DLC character, Homelander from The Boys. It’s pretty faithful to the character (right down to the milk), but that’s not all fans have to look forward to. On Twitter, director Ed Boon also teased the addition of character skins based on the 1995 Mortal Kombat film.

A new trailer announces rather blandly that players must battle an army of Ultra Mileenas. Yes, that’s really it, though the cameos from past versions of Mileena in the art are cool. As promised in December, NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1 is getting cross-platform play this month. “Krossplay” will be available in next week’s patch, likely with the arrival of Peacemaker for Kombat Pack 1 owners (who’s out on March 6th for everyone else).

Plenty of IPs get represented in the game, and it’s never known what character might pop up next. When NetherRealm Studios unveiled  Mortal Kombat 1 , fans were likely speculating which guest characters could show up in this installment. Today, we’re finding out that the co-creator of  Mortal Kombat , Ed Boon, was at one time an attempt to get a crossover with  The Walking Dead . 

Ed Boon is reassuring fans that cross-play and Wi-Fi filtering are coming to Mortal Kombat 1 soon. He adds that the Wi-Fi filter will be added first, allowing those with a wired internet connection to avoid those playing wirelessly.
