Mortal Kombat 1 Receives Launch Trailer Showing The Fighter’s Characters and Gore Aplenty

Mortal Kombat 1 is now available for players to enjoy, and it’s been a rather well-received game. However, if you’re familiar with the Mortal Kombat franchise, you know that, as of late, several characters will get added to the roster post-launch. With fans anticipating more characters to come, we have a tease from none other than Ed Boon. If the name is unfamiliar, Ed Boon is the co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Ed is also behind Mortal Kombat 1 and has taken to X to highlight a few potential characters that could come up in the game soon.

A major issue was discovered in NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1, showcasing a major advantage for fighters in the Player 1 slot. Long story short, those in the Player 2 position would find their combos whiffing, effectively ruining any semblance of a level playing field.

Following recent leaks and rumours, Mortal Kombat boss Ed Boon is now teasing fans with potential future DLC for the series' most recent release.

Earlier this month, dataminers that managed to get their hands on Mortal Kombat 1 during the early access period seemed to uncover proof of future DLC characters that are going to be added in the near future. Intros were found for classic characters such as Cassie Cage, Jade, and Noob Saibot, but things got a little bit interesting after an intro for classic slasher villain Ghostface was discovered, as well as references to the character in dialogue alongside mentions of a cloak and mask.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out now, but as is traditional for the franchise, launch is just the beginning, with plenty of content still in the pipeline for the fighting franchise’s reboot.
