Mortal Kombat 1 plagued by player one advantage bug

NetherRealm has shown off the first look at Omni-Man, a DLC character coming to Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 has been on many people’s minds since its launch. Sometimes, it was for a good reason, and other times it was for a bad reason. Then, there was the fact that one of the biggest “stars” of the game, Megan Fox, turned out to be a total dud when it came to her voice acting. So fans highlighted how “good they had it” in the last game.

NetherRealm has released its latest patch for Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1’s Player 1 advantage issues came to light recently, with developer NetherRealm Studios confirming promptly afterwards that the issue would be addressed with the game’s upcoming patch. And though it’s arrived a little later than expected due to unexpected server issues last week, that patch is out now.

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest mainline installment to the long-running fighting franchise. However, you might be keen on jumping on this game if you’re unfamiliar with past installments. That’s because Mortal Kombat 1 is a reboot, providing a great jumping point for the IP if you haven’t followed the narratives. This game should also be supported for a good while with the Invasions mode. Surprisingly, it looks like the next four Invasions seasons have been leaked online.

We’re getting a reboot with Mortal Kombat 1, where the focus is on a brand new timeline. As a result, there are several changes, such as new alliances for different characters. Fortunately, NetherRealm Studios is known for delivering new characters into the Mortal Kombat games after they release, and the same trend will continue with Mortal Kombat 1.

Ed is also behind Mortal Kombat 1 and has taken to X to highlight a few potential characters that could come up in the game soon.

A major issue was discovered in NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1, showcasing a major advantage for fighters in the Player 1 slot. Long story short, those in the Player 2 position would find their combos whiffing, effectively ruining any semblance of a level playing field.

Mortal Kombat 1 has been out for a few days, but developer NetherRealm Studios already has plenty of upcoming content in the pipeline, which, unsurprisingly, also includes guest DLC characters in the form of The Boys’ Homelander, DC’s Peacemaker, and Invincible’s Omni-Man. However, those might not be the only gues characters that will added to the game in the coming months.
