Here are the datamining War Within Alpha class changes in this week's build!
Players looking to tackle the toughest content in The War Within are likely all too familiar with the preparation needed for raids, PvP, and Mythic +. To fully unlock your potential, you aren't just running into an instance portal full speed into a pack of enemies — you're toting a full bag of consumables along with you to provide every edge possible. The War Within will be no different, offering players both new and more familiar consumables to work with: everything from enchantments to flasks and potions will be on a raider's To-Do list before that weekly lockout comes around.
As expected, there are several new alchemy potions and phials coming to The War Within, though players may be surprised by some of their new effects, which include PvP content flasks that increase honor gains! As in Dragonflight, most of the profession crafted items have three ranks of quality that increase their potency, though for the sake of simplicity, only the rank 3 versions are linked below.
The War Within is bringing new Profession recipes to players, which means new and interesting effects on crafted epics! Players will remember how useful some crafted items like Elemental Lariat were in Dragonflight, and The War Within is introducing effects just as interesting and unique on the newest epics for players to experiment with. These effects don't come free though. While not yet present on any of the crafted items, we have found a new Embellishment tag, suggesting that the most powerful special effects on crafted gear will be limited similar to Dragonflight. While we've mainly discovered Leatherworking and Jewelcrafting effects so far, we're sure there will be many more to come!
The War Within is bringing us new Embellishments for crafted gear, including several Jewelcrafting options as well as Armor and Weapon Embellishments. We're not getting these powerful effects for free, however. While not yet present on any of the crafted items, we have found a new Embellishment tag, suggesting that the most powerful special effects on crafted gear will be limited similar to Dragonflight. While some of these Embellishments are clearly a work in progress, we're sure there will be many more to come!
On the Patch 10.2.7 PTR, there's some tuning to Timerunning: Mists of Pandaria gems and raid tuning.

Check below how to change Brann's role in The War Within, and what abilities he has on each role.
It has been announced that Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Gaming president Cynthia Williams will be stepping down at the end of the month, officially leaving her role at both companies on April 26. Here are the class and talent tree changes that we've seen on the very first War Within Alpha build which includes some reworks to Feral Druids, Windwalker Monks, and more!
Grand Theft Auto maker Take-Two is laying off five per cent of its workforce as part of a new cost cutting program.

Take-Two Interactive plans to lay off 5 percent of its workforce, or about 600 employees, by the end of the year, as reported in an SEC filing Tuesday. The studio is also canceling several in-development projects. These moves are expected to cost $160 million to $200 million to implement, and should result in $165 million in annual savings for Take-Two.

The Trinket tuning originally found on Patch 10.2.7 is now hotfixed onto live servers, nerfing popular trinkets ahead of Season 4.
In today's Patch 10.2.7 PTR, we've datamined new spells that indicate the return of raid buff scrolls including Mystic Touch and Chaos Brand for Timerunning Pandaria: Remix. In previous expansions, raid buff scrolls allowed players to partially fill in holes in compositions which was especially helpful in 10-man raiding and dungeon content where the number of players was limited. Perhaps these raid buff scrolls are returning because Timerunning raids might allow for smaller raid groups?
Here are the datamined class changes for Patch 10.2.7!
A large patch of Mythic+ hotfixes have been applied to the Season 4 PTR targeting problem points in Brackenhide Hollow, Uldaman and more!
Blizzard has adjusted two more SoD phase 3 items via hotfixes the morning of April 8th. The first is the Membrane of Dark Neurosis, one of the new Epic Crafting Items players unlocked yesterday. This item received the following changes:
With the new Sunken Temple Level-Up Raid in Phase 3 of Season of Discovery by far being the hardest raid since SoD released, Blizzard had early on said that they were prepared to nerf it. While we already saw significant nerfs to boss health across the board just a few days ago, Shade of Eranikus was still putting up a fight for most groups. Until now! It has been reported that an update went live while players were still in the instance, bringing the boss's health down to 1.45 million. The boss went live with around 4 million HP, which goes to show you how large this nerf really is. And it seems it's not just the health that was nerfed. Players have reported on Reddit that some of the boss abilities were hit with the nerf bat, and we've been able to gather the data to show exactly which abilities were changed:
We're reporting on some recent adjustments to the Sunken Temple item set bonuses, including the Paladin set Obsessed Prophet's Plate. Leading up to Phase 3, Blizzard made numerous incremental changes to SoD items via hotfixes, which also included PvP set itemization. Sunken Temple Raid Loot

While Blizzard published the major class changes in the official patch notes, they did not document minor adjustments so we are highlighting everything below. Phase 3 Overview

We've datamined updated 3-piece set bonuses from Sunken Temple item sets, now providing interesting class-specific effects. Prior to today's build, they were quite generic with bonuses giving passive stat gains. A new level-up raid coming in Phase 3 Season of Discovery, Sunken Temple will be on a weekly lockout and contains hundreds of new pieces of loot from eight new bosses. In addition to the item sets with changes detailed below, you can preview more of the datamined loot in our Sunken Temple Guide: Sunken Temple Raid Loot Today's datamining had even more notable item updates, including reputation levels, dungeon reitemization, and P3 item tuning: More Item TuningReitemized Dungeon LootReputation Levels for Emerald Wardens Rewards

The Afflicted affix has now been hotfixed, reverting the buff and actually nerfing the cast time! We datamined earlier that Afflicted got buffed by increasing the penalty of the Afflicted debuff. However, this change has been reverted and the cast time of the spell Afflicted Cry was actually increased to 12 seconds. It seems that they may have increased the wrong «10» by accident.
We've also datamined some Dragonflight Raid tuning ahead of the upcoming Awakened Season which includes another nerf to Volcanic Heart on Mythic difficulty.
Mistweavers are getting some new talents in Patch 10.2.6 and here's what the talent tree looks like in Patch 10.2.6! Both nodes are located at the bottom left of the spec tree.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved Bitcoin exchange-traded products (ETPs) following years of opposition—though not without stern warnings about the «myriad risks» of investing in cryptocurrency. The news was greeted with enthusiasm by crypto-lovers and has led to a minor spike in Bitcoin's value, with one Bitcoin being worth around $44,000 on 8 January and at the time of writing just over $47,000.
The Securities and Exchange Commission is making an example of SolarWinds by charging the company with defrauding investors for allegedly failing to stop a massive breach at the IT company and covering up its negligent cybersecurity practices.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating how Twitter Inc. managed a 2018 security lapse that exposed personal user information before billionaire Elon Musk bought the social media platform last year. The agency has been scrutinizing whether the former top executives failed to adequately disclose those privacy issues to shareholders or put in place proper controls, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified discussing a confidential investigation. A bug on the social media platform had let outsiders view user email addresses during password resets, which revealed the identity of users, said one of the people.

Hacks are no fun to deal with. It’s a headache to find that your accounts, whether it’s personal, business, or financial, are potentially compromised. But what’s worse is when you don’t find out, and it takes an outstanding amount of time before that information comes out. That’s where the SEC is stepping in, and new regulation is forcing public companies to come clear regarding these hacks they experience. This includes video game companies, so if something becomes compromised, they can’t just keep a tight lid on it.
Last week, we reported on a Roblox data breach that first happened in 2020, and was apparently shared in some nefarious places in 2021, but only became widely known about when the leak was posted again on July 18. There was a wealth of identifying information about individuals who attended the Roblox Developer's Conference in this hacked data, and some might find the length of time between the hack happening and Roblox Corporation acknowledging it pretty surprising.
