If you've been chipping away at Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's shiny platinum trophy, then it's possible that you'll have run into the Can't Stop, Won't Stop bug. Reported last week, a pretty nasty bug made its way into Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's latest update that makes getting the platinum trophy completely impossible unless you have a physical copy.

The patch notes for the latest Palworld update include a detail that might just be more exciting than any of the new content or improvements: the promise of a big ol' "content-packed update" landing this summer.

One of two new crafting systems coming with Diablo 4's Season 4, the Tempering system, includes the hunt for so-called Temper Manuals. These manuals feature up to 4 different affixes available for crafting at the Blacksmith — but only once you've found the actual manual! With Patch 10.2.6, players have noticed that crafted gear will be slightly weaker in Season 4 than in Season 3. While in Season 3, crafted gear is capped at 3 item levels under max Myth track, in Season 4, it is capped at 6 ilvls under it. This can be seen when looking at Aspect's awakened crests.

For players who have entered the Public Test Realm for Patch 1.4.0, an issue has been discovered that causes the Codex of Power to be reset, removing any progress made by players. After boosting a character to level 100 via the NPC in Kyovashad, the Codex of Power upgrade process will reset to zero. This means that if you have upgraded various Aspects in the Codex and made another character, boosting that character to level 100 will then wipe the Codex to its original state for all characters. Before boosting a character to level 100 vs after boosting a character to level 100. The only way to work around this currently if you wish to have numerous characters is to make all of your alt characters and boost them to level 100 before you start to upgrade Aspects in the Codex of Power. This will prevent a new character from accidentally removing all your progress as you battle your way through the Diablo 4 PTR.

Blizzard has added new skill tags for many class skills in order to interact with the new itemization. They also added existing skill tags to multiple skills to open up new possibilities by adding the Core tag to various skills such as Ball Lightning and Bone Spirit. These changes should allow for a greater variety of skill interactions, both with each other and with the new gear and affixes that have been introduced.

Wowhead's Build Planner is updated with PTR data, allowing you to theorycraft your builds for Patch 1.4.0! Blizzard has hotfixed the PTR for Diablo 4, allowing new characters to skip the campaign without completing the prologue first. The most highly-requested feature of the PTR so far, Blizzard stated earlier today that they were working on deploying a fix. Players should now be able to immediately skip the campaign upon creating a new character.

Immortals of Aveum is making a second attempt, available this month via PlayStation Plus, and it seems developer Ascendant Studios still has a few magic tricks up its voluminous sleeve. Two patches are planned for the game, one which will add the now-expected HDR support and another which will add AMD's fancy new FSR 3 technology, marking the first time a console has employed the tech.

PS Portal owners may have noted that system update 2.0.6 is now available, requiring the usual restart rigamarole. The patch notes for the update are incredibly sparse but potentially quite profound, reading simply: «We've improved system software performance and stability.» In the hours since, players have been reporting a drastic increase in video quality.

Helldivers 2 has taken a new patch on PS5 and PC that adds new weather effects to the popular shooter and triples the maximum level. Having downloaded update 01.000.200, you'll have the chance to encounter blizzards and sandstorms while out on missions. Also, you can now grind your way up to level 150 while getting used to some balance changes across various mission types, weapons, and enemies.

With Patch 1.15.2 launching today, Blizzard revealed that the quests Repelling Invaders and Clear the Forest! are now daily instead of weekly, allowing players to quickly farm reputation with Silverwing Sentinels and Warsong Outriders. Battle for Ashevale Event Guide These quests can be obtained by looting Warsong Outrider Mark/Silverwing Sentinel Charm from killing opposite faction NPCs during a Battle for Ashenvale. The items can then be turned to your faction leaders at their bases during the battle or at Astraanar/Splintertree Post after the battle.

Datamining for Diablo 4 Season 4 continues with a horrendous (yet friendly?) face being added to the Boss Ladder for Season 4. Is the Maiden of Anguish returning to us with a new haircut? Summoning materials for Uber Andariel will come from Beast in the Ice and Lord Zir, and the Demon Queen will have the same drop table as Duriel.

With Patch 1.15.2 going live, we have a snippet of what's to be discovered in the new Phase. Our first highlight is the new transformation trinkets from the supply reputations.

The first Public Test Realm for Diablo 4 is now live, and many players are itching to get their hands on the new content and systems. However, there is yet to be a reveal of Season 4's theme — and there won't be on the PTR itself, according to Blizzard. Diablo 4 PTR Patch 1.4.0 Patch Notes Now Available Diablo 4 PTR Now Live Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora responded to player questions about the Season 4 reveal and that it will not be made known until some time after the PTR goes down. Piepiora went on to add context to the matter in another reply, suggesting that the PTR is squarely focused on huge amount of systems and itemization changes coming to the game. This is fairly understandable considering the scope of Patch 1.4.0. Adding the seasonal content on top of that would split the focus of not only the developers, but the playerbase engaging in the PTR for testing and feedback as well. But the question at this point is: when will the Season 4 reveal be? Diablo 4's 4th Season is confirmed to start on May 14th, and the PTR ends on April 9th. This leaves 35 days between the end of the PTR and the start of Season 4. If Blizzard gives at least a week for the final Patch Notes to be public and some time to prepare after the PTR ends, we could potentially expect the Season 4 reveal to be somewhere near April 30th. However, we do have one slight hint as to what the Season 4 theme could be. During the PTR, this placeholder Season banner was discovered: While this could be easily and most likely be a placeholder name for the Season, the huge reworks to itemization and loot overall does at least lend some credibility towards the general theme the season might be going for.

Killer Instinct, yes the 2013 Killer Instinct, has received a brand new and rather large patch. Update 3.11.15 has added ranked crossplay between Xbox and PC players, increased the player and character level caps, and unlocked over 80 colorways for the characters. The first Public Test Realm for Diablo 4 is now available for play. This PTR will be testing the features and content of Patch 1.4.0, including class changes, a new crafting system, Codex of Power changes, and much more. Players may also submit feedback during this time to identify bugs and other issues with the test build of the game. A new patch for Overwatch 2 rolled out Monday that promises a “really, really, really balanced” version of the game. That patch landed on April Fools’ Day, of course, bringing back googly-eyed heroes and a sweeping set of changes to characters’ abilities. It’s a chance for Overwatch 2 players to have a week’s worth of chaotic fun, and for Blizzard to test out some secretly very good tweaks to the game.

Blizzard has announced that Arena PvP Season 8 will end on April 15 for North American realms. This will be the final season for Wrath of the Lich King Classic and Blizzard also mentions that Arena Points will be converted to Honor when Patch 4.4.0 releases, the Pre-Patch for Cataclysm Classic.

The Diablo 4 PTR is now available to download! The download comes in at 95GB, while excluding high-res assets takes only 51GB. For players with Diablo 4 preinstalled, this download will use preinstalled assets, significantly reducing the amount needed to load — down to 35GB with high-res assets and 17GB without. While Dragonflight Patch 10.2.6 has players focused on Plunderstorm and Season 4, Noblegarden is also teased to have updates this year! One of those updates is the Duck Disguiser toy, which allows players to transform into a tiny duck of various colors. Alongside the Duck Disguiser toy are six color variations: Mallard Duck Disguise, White Duck Disguise, Black Duck Disguise, Brown Duck Disguise, Yellow Duck Disguise, and Pink Duck Disguise. There's also a 7th mechanical duck model, though it doesn't have an associated disguise. Although ducks may not seem to have much to do with Noblegarden, it makes a bit more sense than you might think. Despite a distinct lack of rabbits in the Dragon Isles, ducks are plentiful and have been a popular highlight over the course of the expansion: from emotes, to sidequests, and even a new version of polymorph! For more hard evidence, the Lovely Duckling pet was added in Patch 10.2.5, alongside the duck shifting druid, Daetan Swiftplume and his special Noble Flying Carpet drop, the flavor text outright confirming that at least one duck is involved in the holiday update.

Months after its initial release, Bandai Namco seems hellbent on squeezing as much money as it possibly can from Tekken 8. Not only does the game have seasonal DLC passes — the first is set to offer four additional characters, starting with Eddy next week — but it recently added a microtransaction store, where you can exchange premium currency for cosmetic items.

Square Enix has dropped a substantial new update for Star Ocean: The Second Story R, which released for PS5 and PS4 last year.
