Uncharted creator Amy Hennig’s Skydance New Media has officially unveiled Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a single-player action-adventure game set during the Second World War that will see players stepping into the shoes of Captain America and Azzuri, the Black Panther of that Era, and above all else, the game’s visual fidelity has turned more than a few heads. During the recent State of Unreal presentation at GDC, Hennig offered further details on the game, including how Unreal Engine is aiding its development.

Skydance New Media revealed its first story trailer for as part of Epic’s “State Of Unreal” presentation at the 2024 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Skydance Interactive’s Captain America and Black Panther team-up game is now officially titled Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, and a new story trailer sees the two legendary heroes face off against each other. This World War 2-based superhero action title was first announced during a Disney and Marvel Games Showcase at D23 2022, with players taking control of Captain America, Black Panther, a Howling Commando named Gabriel Jones, and a Wakandan spy named Nanali as they battle the forces of Hydra across Paris and Wakanda during the Great War.

It was highly rumored that we would see something from the folks over at Arkane Lyon during The Game Awards last week. This speculation was split between a new installment to their beloved  Dishonored  franchise and a potentially new game based around  Marvel’s Blade . Now Microsoft would have their own stab at a potential exclusive like how Sony was able to bring out  Marvel’s Spider-Man  and  Marvel’s Wolverine  to their PlayStation fanbase.

But at The Game Awards tonight, Arkane Lyon – AKA the ones behind the Dishonored games and Deathloop – came and debuted their latest game with Bethesda, which featured a cinematic with a barbershop in Paris that had a lot of crucifixes and a creepy atmosphere. At the end, though, the customer in this barbershop was revealed to be none other than one Eric Brooks, AKA Blade. Yep, Marvel’s favorite daywalker is officially getting a new game, as seen below.

Five former Ubisoft staff members have been detained by police and questioned over allegations of sexual misconduct while employees of the company.

In 2020, Ubisoft was hit with accusations of sexual harassment and assault. A year later, employees claimed that the French publishing giant had "a way of burying" complaints. Former devs who wished to remain anonymous alleged that Ubisoft would do nothing, move the person being accused, or even promote them, rather than taking any meaningful action. Two years later, arrests have finally been made.
