Fresh off its nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2023, miHoYo Games’ Honkai: Star Rail has received a new trailer. It showcases Huohuo, the upcoming five-star Abundance character who is also a Ten Lords Commission Judge-in-training. While tasked with hunting ghosts, she’s unfortunately too scared to face them.

With Honkai: Star Rail’s next big update, Version 1.5, “The Crepuscule Zone”, out this week, a new Myriad Celestia trailer is available, focusing on Huohuo. The new five-star character, who follows the Path of the Abundance and deals Wind damage, is a Judge-in-training for the Ten Lords Commission. While tasked with catching ghosts, she’s also afraid of them.

After launching on October 11th for PS5, miHoYo Games’ Honkai: Star Rail has crossed one million players. To celebrate the occasion, the developer will distribute 200 free Stellar Jades to all players via the in-game mail system.

X's best builds inhelp him keep control of the field, so his enemies can't buff one another. Whenever he gets rid of an enemy buff, he'll cast Silence, preventing them from buffing, debuffing, healing, or countering. Later on, with Insight 3, he can prevent enemies from gaining Moxie for a round.

Honkai: Star Rail’s next update, Version 1.4, “Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream,” goes live tomorrow for PC, iOS and Android and coincides with the RPG’s release on PS5. It adds several new characters, the first being the highly-anticipated Jingliu, voiced by AmaLee. As Jing Yuan’s mentor and former sword master of the Xianzhou Luofu, she’s a five-star Destruction character who inflicts damage.

Using Jingliu’s best build in , including her strongest Light Cones, Relics, and team comps, will allow the DPS character to improve the amount of damage she inflicts against opponents. Jingliu, who was previously introduced as an NPC in story missions, has now been added as a playable character in 1.4, allowing you to obtain her and integrate her into their parties. As a DPS, her job is to be the main source of damage to the opponents.

Farming the materials for Jingliu’s Ascension in is an important step in taking the DPS character closer to her full potential. Jingliu was first introduced as a character and Jing Yuan’s former master in a short promotional video, but later appeared in the game itself as an NPC that follows and then challenges Yanqing. Jingliu became available as a playable character in 1.4, along with Guinaifen and Topaz. She is a 5-star character who uses Ice in combat and follows the Path of the Destruction. Jingliu has a unique gameplay kit, which sees her drain the HP of her own allies.

Before the release of Version 1.4, “Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream”, for Honkai: Star Rail, a new Myriad Celestia trailer is available. Several new details about 1.4 have been revealed, including its release date, the PlayStation 5 launch, the character banners planned for the version’s six weeks of content, story missions, events, and much more. As a live-service game, the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse regularly receives updates, which grants players more to explore and do. Much of the information was revealed during a special program, which also featured the limited 1.4 livestream codes. In terms of story, the game will pick up after the events presented in Version 1.3, which showcased the aftermath of the Trailblazers efforts to control the Stellaron crisis.

Approximately every six weeks, a special livestream is held, showing the respective content arriving in the turn-based RPG in the upcoming patch. In the opening hall of the Makuhari Messe this Tokyo Game Show was an enormous, monolithic tribute to HoYoverse, a company fast becoming one of PlayStation’s most important developers. Lynx is now the first Quantum healer in Honkai: Star Rail. Making her debut alongside Fu Xuan, Lynx makes it possible to have a Mono-Quantum team as long as you have Silver Wolf. For the most part, she specializes in healing and boosting your party’s Max HP. However, like Natasha, her Ultimate provides a debuff cleanse.

Fu Xuan will close out the Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.3 banners. After being a major character in the Xianzhou Luofu story, it’s nice to see her become playable fairly early on. She can both buff and heal your team, making her a good option if you want to use more offensive characters while still getting full support for them.

Now officially confirmed to be Dan Heng, Imbibitor Lunae is a 5-Star Imaginary character from Honkai: Star Rail. Following the Path of Destruction, Imbibitor Lunae can make quick work of your enemies.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.3 was a massive update. Not only did we get Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae and a new map for the Xianzhou Loufu, but we also got a new mode of the Simulated Universe. Curios, Blessings, and domains still exist, but you can’t get Planar Orbs from this version. Instead, you can collect a lot of Stellar Jade if you can complete all of the missions.

Finding the best build and team comp for Fu Xuan in is highly recommended as the new 5-star character can thrive on the battlefield with the proper pieces of gear and teammates. Fu Xuan is a character from the Xianzhou Luofu who had already been introduced as an NPC but has since been fully added to the game as a playable hero with Version 1.3. She is a Quantum character who follows the Path of the Preservation. However, Fu Xuan is not a shielder in a traditional sense, like Gepard or March 7th.

Farming the correct materials for Lynx’s character Ascension and Traces in is an important part of optimizing the youngest of the Landau siblings as a character in a team comp. Lynx was finally introduced as a playable character in Phase 2 banners of 1.3, along with the 5-star support, Fu Xuan. Contrary to the Master Diviner of the Xianzhou Luofu, however, Lynx is a 4-star hero from Belobog. The young Landau character uses the Quantum element in battle and follows the Path of the Abundance. Because of this alignment, Lynx is considered a healer character.

Genshin Impact’s soundtrack is huge, with a shocking number of tunes that span across the game’s current five regions. Battle themes, town themes, and even character themes, every Genshin Impact player probably has a favorite track of theirs they can hum on command. Many of these iconic themes were composed by Yu-Peng Chen, a composer for Genshin Impact, who unfortunately announced plans to leave HoYoverse and pursue other endeavors.

Gacha games are leaking out of the PS5's ports and cables at the moment as it's confirmed DanMachi Battle Chronicle will join the likes of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Project Mugen on the platform in the future. Honkai Star Rail released its latest major content update on August 29, introducing the newest playable character Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, while also introducing a number of quality-of-life updates, such as an increased Trailblaze Power cap and changes to the Simulated Universe. However, players have noticed a lack of new concrete features in this new update, and have taken to social media to criticize the latest update and its lack of content.

HoYoverse, the developer of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, shared an update on its next game Zenless Zone Zero during Gamescom Opening Night Live – but there was no date or confirmation of consoles. The self-described urban action RPG showed off a bunch of characters and environmental art, including several arcade-style minigames you’ll presumably be able to play to pass the time.

Update: As previously announced, HoYoverse has opened sign ups for a technical test featuring the PS5 version of Honkai: Star Rail. It sounds like if you've already started on PC or mobile, cross-save will be supported, as long as your HoYoverse account is linked to your PSN. In case you missed it, Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha RPG from the team behind Genshin Impact that dropped earlier this year. It's a turn-based combat affair, set in a technically advanced world populated by beings called Aeons.

HoYoverse made a splash during the Opening Night Live stream at Gamescom today. Not only did they present Genshin Impact andHonkai: Star Rail content, but they brought a trailer and some details about ARPG Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), which they announced last year but have otherwise been quiet about. 

Honkai Star Rail briefly appeared during the big Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live coverage, and tucked away at the end of the JRPG's new trailer is the news that "recruitment" for its PS5 technical test will open tomorrow, August 23.

When I saw that Honkai: Star Rail was having a special collaboration event with Sunright Tea Studio, I was intrigued. Most HoYoverse collabs in the past have been exclusive to locations in Asia, so it’s a rare occasion for one of these to happen in the United States. On top of that, there happened to be a Sunright about 15 minutes away from me, so I decided to check it out.

It adds Imbibitor Lunae, a five-star Imaginary character following the Path of the Destruction, followed by Fu Xuan, the Master Diviner of the Xianzhou and a five-star Quantum character on the Path of the Preservation.

If, like this author, you’re already deep down the Honkai: Star Rail rabbit hole, with dozens of five-star characters and a wealth of valuable Relics sets to your name, you’ll probably be hoping for cross-save with the upcoming PS5 version. Well, buried in a press release about the game’s upcoming 1.30 update – which is due out on 30th August – developer HoYoverse has promised compatibility across all versions of the game. The blurb reads: “With cross-save and cross-play functions, players can enjoy their game progress across different platforms with more accessibility.”

With the Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.3 Livestream this morning, HoYoverse released three more redeem codes. Like always, you can get up to 300 Stellar Jade by using all three codes. Hurry, because these codes expire on August 19, 2023, at 12:00 (UTC+8). As of publication, that’s in about 6 hours.
