Honkai: Star Rail Sets Version 1.4, 'Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream' and PlayStation Debut Oct 11

Honkai: Star Rail will arrive on PlayStation on October 11th, along with version 1.4, «Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream». HoYoverse announced the cross-platform release will include new characters, new story, new areas, and more on the way.
The update will start out at an important turning point, after the destruction of Phantylia, the Ambrosial Arbor Crisis resolved, the Xianzhou Luofo restored, and more, the Old Weapons Testing Ground and Pillars of Creation in Jarilo-VI will be known. They’ll play roles in the upcoming new story content.
Topaz, along with companion Warp Trotter, Numby, is one of the new playable characters in the update, and part of the Interastral Peace Corporation (IPC). She heads to Jarilo-VI on business and the Astral Express crew will be weighing in on some conflict.
The other playable characters in the update will be Jingliu and Guinaifen. Jingliu is a living Xianzhou legend with a mysterious past who brings ice-type powers to combat. Guinaifen, a fire type, will follow. She’s a street performer with combat skills that use fireworks to mystify and defeat her enemies..
Additionally, expect Aetherium Wars, a leading in-universe video game universe where participants use digital replicas of creatures known as aether spirits, In combat to dominate in fierce fights. There will be a tournament on Jarilo-IV and it will test you in your ability to collect, nurture your Aether spirits, and build a powerful combat team to see if you can carry yourself to victory.
Simulated Universe will also open up the Planar Infinity event, and for a change of pace, there’s the «Time to feast! Astral Express Pit Stop» event coming.
Recently, HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail would expand to PlayStation 5 on October 11th, but now we know that this will happen with the version 1.4 update.

If the debut trailer is anything to go by, chaos is on the menu for Starnaut. Developer Crim announced the spacey adventure for PC, with Early Access to kick off in February 2024. The roguelike action game has you playing as an astronaut on a solo space expedition that lands them in the multiverse. From there you’ll be blasting “endless incoming enemies” that can be deceptively cute and drop what seems to be an equally endless number of coins.

Several new details about 1.4 have been revealed, including its release date, the PlayStation 5 launch, the character banners planned for the version’s six weeks of content, story missions, events, and much more. As a live-service game, the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse regularly receives updates, which grants players more to explore and do. Much of the information was revealed during a special program, which also featured the limited 1.4 livestream codes.
