Finally I can at last finish the narrative adventure that so moved me back in 2014.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League hasn't been enjoying much success since launch, with Warner Bors. having practically branded the game a failure and the majority of the game's fanbase having dropped off due to unpopular story choices and generally unsatisfying gameplay. It is no secret that Square Enix's Mana series has impacted the JRPG genre immensely since it debuted in 1991. It's a franchise rich with deep stories and memorable combat that has stood the test of time. Despite the last mainline game releasing 18 years ago, fanfare has yet to die down, as seen with the success of the 2020 remake of Trials of Mana. The question is, can a brand new Mana game replicate the same success as a remake? If this two-hour hands-on preview is any indication of the rest of the game, then Visions of Mana's fresh take on battle and class systems not only gives it the potential to meet the success of the originals but possibly even the chance to surpass them.

The beloved survival game Don’t Starveis being adapted into a board game. Glass Cannon Unplugged, a studio known for creating tabletop renditions of other series like Frostpunk and Diablo, will lead creation of Don’t Starve: The Board Game in partnership with the original video game developer, Klei Entertainment. The game is set to launch via a Kickstarter campaign “near the end of the 3rd quarter in 2024,” a release said.

Glass Cannon Unplugged have just launched their Kickstarter campaign funding Don’t Starve: The Board Game.   We've seen plenty of the best board games come out in the past few years but Kickstarter-funded tabletop adaptations of video games are really having a moment right now. It was just last month that Glass Cannon Unplugged announced they were working on Dying Light: The Board Game, adding that to their expansive portfolio of board games like This War of Mine: The Board Game and Apex Legends: The Board Game (which we were very fond of when we previewed it). Gameplay wise, Don't Starve: The Board Game promises to be chock-full of "mechanics highlighting player choice, dynamic combat, and open-world exploration in night and day conditions". From the looks of the game’s box art and promotional materials, it also keeps that charming Tim Burton-esque art style that players have come to know and love. Turns out that expansions and add-ons are already on the cards too.

Lonesome Village is a cute puzzle-solving adventure with a laid-back twist available for Android devices on April 11. This adorable puzzle simulation game, made by Ogre Pixel, will capture players with its charming characters, fun gameplay, and calm atmosphere.

Overwatch 2's 40th hero, Venture, will be playable for a limited-time trial running from March 28 through March 31.

Hellgate: London was a game ahead of its time in a lot of ways, introducing open-world looter and roguelike mechanics before those things became a hot trend. As such, the game is still remembered fairly well despite not being a huge seller at the time. Well, it seems the series may be coming back, because the original game’s producer Bill Roper has announced an Unreal Engine 5 sequel, Hellgate: Redemption, will be produced through his new studio Lunacy Games. Roper had the following to say about the revival…

Lunacy Games, a studio founded in September 2022 by Hellgate: London creator Bill Roper, has signed a licensing agreement with HanbitSoft to create a new AAA game in the Hellgate franchise for console and PC, the company announced. Codenamed Hellgate: Redemption, the game will be set in an undisclosed part of the franchise’s alternate history, demon-apocalypse world.

(Little) Alex Horne has announced that Taskmaster VR will have a Creative Mode, allowing fans of the chaotic comedy series to create their own tasks in the relative safety of virtual reality.

Now, Shift Up is throwing its hat into the ring of AAA game development with Stellar Blade, an action game starring a young woman named Eve who is trying to reclaim Earth from an invading alien species. The developer’s first attempt at crafting a premium console experience is already much stronger than I expected.

Dragon's Dogma 2 will have you doing a lot of walking, and I mean a lot. It's part of the game's satisfying gameplay loop, having you trek across vast swathes of wilderness, fighting off everything from little goblins to enormous griffins. Despite that, there are some moments in which you just can't be bothered to walk somewhere, especially if it's on the other side of the map, so some players have taken to catching a ride on the Sphinx for easier travel.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lets you build a whole lot of ridiculous contraptions out of mundane parts, and there's nothing more mundane than the portable pot. This item turned out to be one of the game's wildest building options, and during a talk at the Game Developers Conference (broken down by Eurogamer), lead physics engineer Takahiro Takayama explained that this only happened because the devs wanted to keep you from spilling your soup.

Developed by Evan Tor Games and published by JanduSoft, this is a Sci-Fi mystery shooter that everyone has to try. Rebel Transmute is the Metroid of our year. It is a take on a classic Metroidvania with a kick of colors and extreme exploration. While it is revolutionized, I think that the graphics and audio really kicks us off back into the feel of the 90s, giving both old and new gamers something to enjoy.

Now, Sony has announced Community Game Help, an expansion of the feature allowing you to view hint videos of other users' gameplay across select titles.

Princess Peach: Showtime! sends everyone’s favorite princess on a solo adventure filled with lots of exciting transformations that completely change the way the game plays. From fighting with a rapier with Swordfighter Peach all the way to baking pastries with Patisserie Peach, there’s so much variety that it’s hard not to be in awe of how creative the game is.

The South Park gang is back and this time, it’s a Snow Day! Taking a departure from the two previous entries’ RPG venture, the most recent being The Fractured But Whole, South Park: Snow Day! sees Cartman and crew enter the roguelike adventure territory with mixed results.

Ex-Activision Blizzard developer Toys for Bob has apparently signed a deal with Microsoft for its next title.

Stellar Blade's demo is returning to PS5 after it was added and then quickly removed from the PS store earlier this month. It seems that the initial release of the demo was accidental. This time, it's been officially announced by Sony, rather than shadowdropped without any fanfare.

The previously leaked Stellar Blade demo for PlayStation 5 will be made available later this week on Match 29.
