It’s out on April 18th for PS5, but that’s not the only content that Final Fantasy 16 fans can look forward to. While Square Enix recently released the benchmark tool for the upcoming Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail, producer and director Naoki Yoshida has taken to a blog post on the game’s official website to reveal that the software will be getting a new version to improve what has been described by players as the “lifeless eyes” of characters.

The Digital Standard Edition costs $39.99 and includes the expansion (with access to previous expansions like Shadowbringers and Endwalker included). As for the Collector’s Edition, it includes the expansion and digital goodies based on Final Fantasy 9.

The Xbox Series S/X version of is introducing its own exclusive currency. The 2010 massively multiplayer online role-playing game is finally coming out of the «open beta» it's been in since late February and will be releasing six separate versions, each with a different number of expansions on Xbox Series S/X on March 21st. The game also benefits from faster loading times on these consoles and 4K graphics on the Xbox Series X.

The full release of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox Series X|S is coming later this month on 21st March, with a Starter Edition of the game being bundled in as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perk until 19th April.

In addition to announcing Final Fantasy 14’s next big expansion, Dawntrail, Square Enix confirmed that the MMORPG is coming to Xbox Series X/S. As a digital-only release, it will feature faster loading times and 4K support on the Series X with patch 6.5X receiving an open beta. Square Enix also promised improved support for Xbox going forward.
