As the April 8 total solar eclipse draws near, sky gazers prepare for an astronomical display that promises not only a captivating display of darkness but also the potential for witnessing rare solar phenomena. For those fortunate enough to be in the path of totality, a brief period of darkness, known as totality, will offer a unique opportunity to observe the sun's corona without the need for solar eclipse glasses.

It suffers from overly simplistic combat, a general lack of challenge, and some bugs and camera wonkiness now and again – but with memorable characters, an extremely enjoyable story, and lots of original ideas, Another Crab’s Treasure had me grinning all throughout my 20-hour tour of the ocean floor.

Blizzard has announced the implementation of a global damage reduction aura in PvP to test methods for mitigating damage scaling in Season of Discovery. While this aura is temporary, only lasting until April 30th, Blizzard is definitely looking for feedback — so check out some PvP this weekend!

It's the last week of Dragonflight Season 3 and players have noticed that the Spiteful Mythic+ affix is doing about 60% less damage! If you compare logs from before Patch 10.2.6 to after Patch 10.2.6, you'll notice that the unmitigated damage of a melee swing from Spiteful is now ~225k (down from ~600k). They also have about 60% less health! This makes the Spiteful affix be basically just a nuisance that healers need to heal through rather than have any chance of killing players.

Overwatch 2 Season 10 kicks off next month, but if you want to try out the season’s hew hero Venture early, you can do it this weekend. Venture, who Blizzard is touting at their first non-binary character, is a Damage hero and, overall, one of the more unique-looking characters Blizzard has served up thus far. Basically, they can burrow under the ground ala Bugs Bunny (or Mario in his Drill Suit I suppose) allowing them to sneak behind enemy lines then burst out to deal damage. The next hero coming to Overwatch 2, Venture, will be playable this weekend for free as part of a limited-time trial that will run from March 28-31, Blizzard Entertainment announced Wednesday. Access to Venture will be free for all players, giving everyone a taste of their kit, which Blizzard also revealed in full.

NASA's diminutive BurstCube satellite is now making its way to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard SpaceX's Dragon resupply spacecraft. It lifted off at 4:55 p.m. EDT on Thursday, March 21, from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, BurstCube is poised to embark on a significant mission.

After dying several times to an introductory worm boss that Path of Exile 2 had me face, I started to wonder if I was missing something while playing as the Ranger class. The grind to this early-level boss hadn’t unlocked a ton of Skill Gems for me, and the few I had slotted weren’t combining together to make a power combo like I had become accustomed to during the Affliction League that’s currently ongoing in Path of Exile. Speaking with other, much better players than myself who I met at the event it turned out I wasn’t the only one that took a try or two on the boss. It was time to get back to the grind and come back at it with better gear.

Bursting was released doing significantly less damage on live servers after Patch 10.2.6, but this has now been hotfixed. Before the Patch on the last Bursting week, Bursting did 32748 base damage per stack at a difficulty of +20 or above. After the Patch, Bursting does 13839 per character.

Blizzard has released hotfix notes for the previously announced PvE and PvP class tuning, which includes includes Restoration Druid, Preservation Evoker, and Frost Mage buffs in PvE, alongside Havoc Demon Hunter nerfs in PvP! Also included are two unannounced Mythic+ bug fixes, addressing issues with Blight of Galakrond and Amalgam of Souls.

Blizzard has pushed some extra hotfixes with the weekly reset, changing Living Flame for mages and buffing Steady Shot for Hunters. These changes buff ranged Hunters and slightly reduce the possible burst done by Living Flame for mages without changing their total damage for longer fights.

While today's top story remains the Liberation of Tien Kwan, Super Earth high command (developer Arrowhead) has revealed the Cutting Edge Premium Warbond, giving all loyal Helldivers a glimpse of the arsenal on the way to the forces of Democracy. Expect distribution to begin on 14th March in exchange for a lifetime of service and an appropriate amount of Super Credits.

Apple continues to employ a fan-less cooling design for 13-inch and 15-inch M3 MacBook Air models, and while that means users will be pleased about the completely silent operation, they will lose out on a ton of performance. The M3 MacBook Pro, which sports a single fan, can offer significantly improved sustained performance while touting the same SoC, as demonstrated in a series of tests. It is also worth mentioning that the M3 MacBook Air gets uncomfortably toasty, which we hope Apple can address in future iterations.

Hello, wonderful people, and welcome to the mid-Season 9 Director's Take! This season had the most significant changes to the game that we've made in a long time. When we launched Season 9 in February, we wanted to make sure to keep an eye on your feedback and react to what we saw. We've had two patches so far, and we have another one, which is quite the stunner, coming up next week. Let's get into that… no, wait! ...Let's talk about where we're at… and then get into that.

The March 8 is here and ready to be solved. Be careful though as today's categories might throw a few players off their game and ruin some win streaks. But for those who have the knowledge, know-how, and a few cheaty spoilers, today could be an easy win.

Helldivers 2 rolled out a new patch today that added fire tornadoes and meteor showers, but it also quietly buffed and nerfed a few weapons and stratagems. Arrowhead didn't go into detail on the specifics, but fans have found that flamethrowers are suddenly more effective against chargers.

Aloy is one of my favorite characters in all media. She’s a certified badass in the Horizon series, with crossover appearances in various other games. One of these crossovers is Genshin Impact, where Aloy is considered one of the worst playable characters in the roster.

In today’s hotfixes, Everbloom keys just got harder as the Stinger strategy was fixed! Over the last few days, players found out that using Dominate Mind on a Rockspine Stinger allowed the NPC to keep casting Venom Burst. This continues to scale with key level representing over 25% of a group’s damage while in a key. You can see this in this log or Tettles breakdown of the Strat. This has now been fixed:

A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more details about one of the upcoming characters named Chiori, who has already made multiple in-game appearances. The game keeps expanding the playable roster with each new update, with the Fontaine duo Navia and Chevreuse being the two most recent additions.

The gameplay kit for Gaming in 4.4 has leaked, revealing more details about his Vision, weapon type, abilities, and even Passive Talents and Constellation levels. Gaming was previously leaked as the “lion boy”, but has since been confirmed and officially announced by developer HoYoverse as Gaming. Considering his name, design, and official description, it is known that Gaming is from the Nation of Liyue and usually operates around the main city, Liyue Harbor.

Most of Xianyun’s gameplay kit in 4.4 has allegedly been leaked, even if there are still a few specifics that are being worked on by the developer, HoYoverse. This includes her Vision, weapon type, abilities, and even passive Talents and Constellations. The human form of Cloud Retainer, the crane-like adepti of the region of Liyue, made her debut as an NPC in an animated cutscene during 2023’s Lantern Rite Festival event. Now, a year later, the character has been confirmed as an upcoming playable character in Version 4.4. Xianyun is one of the new characters in the next patch, along with the 4-star Pyro unit, Gaming.

A new week means a new set of weekly challenges are live in MW3 and Warzone and this time, the JAK Signal Burst conversion kit is up for grabs. The JAK Signal Burst turns the Holger 556 into a deadly burst weapon, therefore many of the Week 5 challenges involve this particular assault rifle.

A detailed look into Navia’s gameplay kit in has leaked, revealing information about her Vision, weapon type, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. Navia is a 5-star character that players initially meet as an NPC during the Archon Quests set in the Fontaine region. Working alongside her, the Traveler and Paimon were able to better understand the perils of the Nation of Justice, as well as see Navia’s own involvement with the Spina di Rosula, a welfare institution in Fontaine that she inherited from her late father. Now, Navia is set to become a playable character in 4.3.

Chevreuse’s gameplay kit in has allegedly leaked, offering more information about how this character operates on the field. The leaks contain details about her regular attacks, her Elemental Skill and Burst, her Passive Talents, and even her Constellations. Chevreuse is a new 4-star character from the region of Fontaine. While she has not yet made her debut with the release of 4.2, she was confirmed by HoYoverse as an upcoming hero.

The complete gameplay kit for Charlotte in has allegedly leaked, revealing the intricacies of her abilities, how she operates on the field, and much more. The leaks detail her Skill, her Burst, her Passive Talents, and even her Constellation levels. Charlotte is a new 4-star hero who is finally making her debut as a playable character in 4.2. She was initially presented in the game as an NPC ahead of Fontaine’s release. Charlotte is a journalist for the Steambird and was visiting other nations in Teyvat to write up a story for the local newspaper in the Nation of Justice.

The 4.2 leaks about Furina’s gameplay kit, including her skills, Elemental Burst, and even Constellations have been shared by several sources, and tease how the character will play out on the field once she arrives in the next update. Furina is the vessel of Focalors, the Hydro Archon in charge of Fontaine, the Nation of Justice. The character was mentioned by name prior to the release of the region but has since appeared as an NPC with Version 4.0. Furina is now one of the confirmed characters for 4.2, along with Charlotte. Furina is expected to be a 5-star character, like all other Archons.

Over seven years since it was first announced at Project Re: Link, Cygames’ Granblue Fantasy: Relink finally received a release date at Gamescom Opening Night Live. It’s out on February 1st, 2024, and while more details are coming on September 16th, extensive gameplay was revealed at Gamescom 2023. Check it out below, courtesy of Gematsu.

If you've been keeping an eye on Stormgate, the upcoming free-to-play RTS being made by former Starcraft II and Warcraft III devs, then its big bads, the Infernal Host, will probably be familiar in name, if nothing else. But during tonight's Gamescom Opening Night Live show, we got our first proper look at this demonic alien faction, as well as three of the units that will be at our disposal on release. And sure, the worker Imp and its long ears will no doubt appease the Grogu fans out there, but my personal highlight is the creepy flesh monster, the Brute. It looks rightly horrific, with its pair of grinning maws and glistening, pale skin, but at the tap of a key, it will rip itself down the middle in a mess of blood and gore so that two Fiends can burst forth Alien-style to continue the assault. It's kinda gross, but also weirdly rad? In any case, I'm into it.
