The 4.2 leaks about Furina’s gameplay kit, including her skills, Elemental Burst, and even Constellations have been shared by several sources, and tease how the character will play out on the field once she arrives in the next update. Furina is the vessel of Focalors, the Hydro Archon in charge of Fontaine, the Nation of Justice. The character was mentioned by name prior to the release of the region but has since appeared as an NPC with Version 4.0. Furina is now one of the confirmed characters for 4.2, along with Charlotte. Furina is expected to be a 5-star character, like all other Archons.
The Archons of Teyvat tend to be great playable characters, with gameplay kits that match their in-game status as divine creatures. Archons like Furina do not have a Vision, but instead draw power from their Gnosis, a special item that symbolizes their godliness. Curiously enough, one of the main plots of is seeing the Fatui of the Tsaritsa hunting down the Gnosis of all other gods in Teyvat. Luckily, even if Furina loses her Gnosis like the other gods before her, she can still use her elemental Hydro powers, both in the story and in her role as a playable character.

According to leaks shared by , Furina’s Normal and Charged attacks will deepen Arkhe’s Pneuma and Ousia system in . Her Normal Attacks will deal Physical DMG, as she is a sword user. However, it also occasionally deals Hydro DMG on set intervals, depending on which Arkhe she is currently aligned to. One of the core aspects of Furina’s gameplay loop in is her Elemental Skill. This ability has two very distinct variations depending on which Arkhe alignment Furina has set at the moment it is triggered. If Furina’s current alignment is to Ousia, her Elemental Skill will deal Hydro DMG that scales based on her Max HP. The Ousia version of Furina’s Elemental Skill also summons three Fontemer creatures that can attack opponents regularly, dealing Hydro DMG that also scales off Furina’s Max HP. Additionally, this version of the attack will slowly consume HP of allies that have over 50% of their Max HP left.
In turn, the three summons will deal bonus DMG based on how many allies have lost HP from the effect. If this is true, Furina will be the first character in the game that deals damage to its own – so far, players have had access to characters that deal damage to themselves, like Hu Tao, Lyney, and even
