Genshin Impact - Neuvillette Character Ascension (& Materials)

Neuvillette took the limited banner by storm, unofficially taking the title of best Main DPS in Genshin Impact. Surprisingly, this is the first for a Hydro character, let alone a Hydro Catalyst one. Dealing solely Hydro DMG, Neuvillette is excellent for triggering Hydro reactions and even receives attack buffs from doing so.

With mere hours left before the next version update, now is your last chance (for a while) to pull for Neuvillette in Genshin Impact. As the first true Hydro Catalyst DPS, Neuvillette combines his natural CRIT DMG and HP fluctuations to deal massive Hydro damage against your enemies.

Wriothesley definitely rizzed me up in the latest Genshin Impact character demo released by HoYoverse, showcasing some of the abilities of this new character’s abilities. HoYoverse released a new gameplay trailer of the upcoming playable character, Wriothesley, showcasing his unique boxer-esque playstyle. This character unleashes an otherworldly amount of style, with his trailer designed almost to feel like a fighting game. HoYoverse is known for releasing high production value trailers for all of their playable characters, but Wriothesley stole my heart and wallet.

Using Wriothesley’s best build and team comps in is the ideal way of optimizing his potential as a DPS and a Cryo catalyst character – the first of his kind, in fact. The Fontaine character was teased prior to the release of the Nation of Hydro, but has finally made his debut as both an NPC and a playable character in 4.1, becoming an ally to the Traveler. Wriothesley is a main DPS and, given his Vision and weapon combination, he opens up several possibilities for team comps and builds. You can focus on Cryo-based teams in a way that relies less on cooldowns and Energy.

Farming the correct materials for Wriothesley’s character Ascension in may be a time-consuming feat, but one that may prove useful in the long run, as the hero shapes up to be a unique DPS. Wriothesley was announced as a character for 4.1, along with Neuvillette. Contrary to the Chief Justice of Fontaine, however, he had not yet been introduced as an NPC. Nevertheless, Wriothesley has now made his debut as both an NPC and a playable character. At launch, he is unique, as Wriothesley is the first character to have a Cryo catalyst combination, essentially meaning he can use Elemental powers seamlessly with his Normal Attacks.

After three years, Genshin Impact finally gave us a Main Hydro DPS Catalyst character. Up to this point, our options were Barbara, Kokomi, and Mona – the former two being healers. Now, Neuvillette brings the pain with justice and water.

Neuvillette and Hu Tao take the first phase of the Genshin Impact Version 4.1 limited character banners. Neuvillette is the latest Fontaine character added to the roster. He operates as the Chief Justice of Fontaine and so far, he is the first and only Hydro Catalyst Main DPS. Finally, Hydro can stop healing and start attacking.

Farming the materials for Jingliu’s Ascension in is an important step in taking the DPS character closer to her full potential. Jingliu was first introduced as a character and Jing Yuan’s former master in a short promotional video, but later appeared in the game itself as an NPC that follows and then challenges Yanqing. Jingliu became available as a playable character in 1.4, along with Guinaifen and Topaz. She is a 5-star character who uses Ice in combat and follows the Path of the Destruction. Jingliu has a unique gameplay kit, which sees her drain the HP of her own allies.

The complete gameplay kit for Charlotte in has allegedly leaked, revealing the intricacies of her abilities, how she operates on the field, and much more. The leaks detail her Skill, her Burst, her Passive Talents, and even her Constellation levels. Charlotte is a new 4-star hero who is finally making her debut as a playable character in 4.2. She was initially presented in the game as an NPC ahead of Fontaine’s release. Charlotte is a journalist for the Steambird and was visiting other nations in Teyvat to write up a story for the local newspaper in the Nation of Justice.

With 4.1 freshly released, players have an even larger array of reasons to dive into the new nation of Fontaine. It's also a good point to take a quick retrospective on how the area has impacted the game.

The 4.2 leaks about Furina’s gameplay kit, including her skills, Elemental Burst, and even Constellations have been shared by several sources, and tease how the character will play out on the field once she arrives in the next update. Furina is the vessel of Focalors, the Hydro Archon in charge of Fontaine, the Nation of Justice. The character was mentioned by name prior to the release of the region but has since appeared as an NPC with Version 4.0. Furina is now one of the confirmed characters for 4.2, along with Charlotte. Furina is expected to be a 5-star character, like all other Archons.
