This past week, Blizzard revealed 8 new Hero Talent Trees in a sneak peek at the new system coming with the The War Within expansion.
Our Protection Paladin guide writer, Lincoln, offers an early review of the Templar Paladin Hero Talents applauding the interactive gameplay hooks and minimal filler but raises concerns about how Templar could restrict the talent choices in the baseline trees without adjustments.
Blizzard recently announced the Templar Hero Talent Tree. This is the shared talent tree between the Retribution and Protection specs. To quote Blizzard, the fantasy is to «call down hammers of light and unleash devastating combinations of Physical and Holy attacks that vanquish their enemies» and the talents released seemed aligned with this top line goal.
Unlike Lightsmith, which required a Youtube video to explain, Templar is way more straight forward. The keystone ability works as follows for Protection:
The key thing to remember here is that this will not require an extra keybind. Based on how the tooltip of reads, it will be all on the same keybind and the button will «transform.» You would just press the same keybind twice in the 12 second window.
