Templar Protection Paladin Review
Blizzard recently announced the Templar Hero Talent Tree. This is the shared talent tree between the Retribution and Protection specs. To quote Blizzard, the fantasy is to «call down hammers of light and unleash devastating combinations of Physical and Holy attacks that vanquish their enemies» and the talents released seemed aligned with this top line goal.
Unlike Lightsmith, which required a Youtube video to explain, Templar is way more straight forward. The keystone ability works as follows for Protection:
For 12 seconds after you cast Eye of Tyr, you'll have access to another 5 Holy Power ability called Hammer of Light. Hammer of Light will do damage to your current target and 4 nearby targets.
Additionally, another effect called Empyrean Hammers will be active on 3 nearby targets for additional damage.
The key thing to remember here is that this will not require an extra keybind. Based on how the tooltip of reads, it will be all on the same keybind and the button will «transform.» You would just press the same keybind twice in the 12 second window.
