At the end of February, Blizzard revealed 8 new Hero Talent Trees in a sneak peek at the new system coming with the The War Within expansion.
Our Holy Paladin guide writer, Clarius, offers an early review of the Herald of the Sun Paladin Hero Talents that enhance the base toolkit without additional bloat or keybindings. While Herald of the Sun doesn't dramatically alter the playstyle of Holy, it's a well rounded set of talents that offer a preferred alternative to Lightsmith.

Herald of the Sun is a very well rounded Hero Talent tree. It will not change how we play, as these talents simply enhance our existing toolkit, such as bringing back the fan favourite in place of Word of Glory, which is essentially the same spell, just with a HoT added to it. The passive nature of the tree is a good thing, as Holy Paladin is already a quite bloated spec, and compared to Lightsmith, Herald of the Sun will be less cognitively demanding while also not adding any new spells to keybind.
affecting Holy Shock has potential to be fun, due to possible interactions with Glimmer of Light, Infusion of Light, Holy Power, and more. and will help make Avenging Wrath a stronger cooldown, which is something we have been wanting for a while now, as Avenging Wrath is currently a shadow of its former glory. The haste we get from when using Avenging Wrath will feel great and will be reminiscent of the old version of Holy Avenger that used to grant haste.
Overall, I am positive about Herald of the Sun, but in the spirit of providing feedback, I want to highlight some of the open questions that might help make the tree even better if addressed correctly. Of course
