Final Fantasy XVI famously didn't meet the sales expectations of Square Enix, though that was partly blamed on slower than anticipated adoption of the PlayStation 5 (the only platform where the game is currently available). However, there is at least one area where the developers reportedly hit their original goals. Speaking to Push Square, Final Fantasy XVI DLC Director Takeo Kujiraoka said:

Fallout 76 for PC and Xbox consoles is now free to grab for Prime Gaming subscribers, who have until May 15 to permanently add the game to their libraries. Do note that the PC version is a Microsoft Store code.

When Ninja Theory was acquired by Microsoft nearly six years ago, many gamers expected Hellblade II to become Microsoft's own answer to the rebooted God of War franchise. With about a month and a half left before the game's launch, Ninja Theory has finally shown Senua's Saga: Hellblade II to a few outlets. Ubisoft Forward is returning on June 10, live from Los Angeles, the publisher announced today on Twitter. However, with E3 now effectively dead, it has become part of its soft replacement: Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, which starts on June 7 this year. There's no word yet on which games will be shown at Ubisoft Forward, but we can certainly speculate based on the publisher's known lineup.

Where Winds Meet, the Wuxia open world action/adventure roleplaying game announced by NetEase at Gamescom 2022, is starting its first Closed Beta Test (CBT) on April 19 for North American players.

During a lengthy developer update livestream, Grinding Gear Games announced some Path of Exile 2 news. To start with, the studio based in New Zealand announced a delay in the beta test that was previously slated for June. While the content is in place, the team disclosed the need for more time to properly polish Path of Exile 2. As such, the beta test will now take place at some point in late 2024. However, it's not just bad news, as an Alpha test will still be conducted in June.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is like the gift that keeps on giving, at least on PC, thanks to the seemingly unending support of skilled modders. There's great news for gamers interested in playing Dragon's Dogma 2 without having a beefy PC: NVIDIA has just announced that CAPCOM's open world game will be available at launch via its GeForce NOW cloud platform. Despite the fact that the previous installment is supported on GeForce NOW, the same was far from a given for the sequel.
