Star Wars and Fortnite have always enjoyed a fruitful partnership, but now Disney’s put its sizeable bank balance behind Epic Games, there was always the possibility of a greater collaboration. And after weeks of teasing, that’s exactly what’s been announced. Beginning from 3rd May, the eve of Star Wars Day, you can expect an epic collaboration with George Lucas’ sci-fi series which will extend to virtually all aspects of the culturally colossal video game platform.

Weeks after the previous Tera raid battle event, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet confirm the return of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves as Dive-star Tera raid bosses. The last time Walking Wake and Iron Leaves appeared in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet respectively was during the 2023 winter holiday season, so players who have not already done so will have another chance to catch these elusive Pokemon.

Players still looking to finish their hunt for their Good Boy's Leash rejoice; for the first time in weeks the World Quest required for Nat Pagle is available for a few days. EU players will have this quest available from Wednesday to Saturday. The world quest in question is Cataloging the Ohn'ahran Plains.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS DLC can no longer be re-downloaded, following the system's eShop closure. Super Smash Bros. has been considered a staple of gaming history since the original 1999 game's release, and the 3DS and Wii U versions were a massive hit. Though the Switch has been Nintendo's priority for a long time now, the closure of the eShop for the 3DS and Wii U systems made it clear that Nintendo was finished with the previous console generation. However, the preservation of the company's legacy titles may be at stake as a consequence.

Part of the Patch 10.2.6 updates includes the addition of many new meta-achievement mounts. One of them is an addition to an old achievement, Into the Storm, which now rewards the Coralscale Salamanther mount. This achievement was added at the start of Dragonflight and requires you to do some tasks under Elemental Storms, including killing 200 enemies under each elemental storm in each of Dragonflight's original zones.

Almost four long years after its original announcement, Red Thread Games has confirmed Dustborn will launch for PS5, PS4 on 20th August 2024. A new trailer debuted during today's Future Games Show announcing the release date, which you can catch above. The game will cost $29.99 on the PS Store, with a physical edition available at a higher price.

Control has joined Alan Wake in being fully owned by developers Remedy Entertainment, as the studio announced they have acquired the complete rights to their supernatural shooter - including its upcoming sequel and co-op spin-off - from publisher 505 Games.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has announced the nominees for next month’s 27th annual DICE Awards.

Developer Behaviour Interactive is teaming up with Remedy to bring Alan Wake to asymmetrical multiplayer title Dead by Daylight. Alan Wake will join the cast of Dead by Daylight‘s Survivors on January 30, and in the mean time, the character is currently playable in the game’s time-limited public test build on Steam right now. More often than not these days, video game characters are modeled after real people. A lot of fan-favorite characters, such as Ashley in Resident Evil 4, Dina in The Last of Us Part 2, and Alan Wake in Alan Wake 2, are just a few examples of this. New Game Plus details for Alan Wake 2 have seemingly leaked online, and they actually contain some pretty hefty spoilers.

The Cult Stashes you find in Alan Wake 2 can be extremely helpful in keeping your supplies high throughout the course of your playthrough. There are several you can find while exploring Bright Falls.

Instead of finding Manuscript Fragments for upgrades, the eponymous character will need to find Words of Power in Alan Wake 2. These Words of Power locations allow Alan to upgrade himself in multiple different special character trees. Each upgrade increases his strength in a different way — you can deal more damage, enhance your health, or make your weapons more powerful. It all depends on those Words of Power.

A good game over screen doesn’t just serve as a notice that you need to start over. In the survival horror genre, a well-crafted, properly terrifying game over screen should serve as a deterrent, ensuring you stay alive the next time to avoid seeing the bloody words ‘Game Over’ appear on your screen. And sometimes, like in Alan Wake 2, they could be so terrifying you never want to die again.

After weeks of in-game teases and more, Epic Games has officially confirmed that the next season of Fortnite will bring players back to Chapter 1. Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake has been trapped in the Dark Place for 13 years. He’s ditched his slouchy hoodie for a button-down, but kept the funny jacket with the old-fashioned elbow patches. Inky hair frames his face as he wanders through a hostile dream world, clutching a puzzle-solving lamp and a revolver. This is the other side of Alan Wake 2’s story, running parallel to FBI agent Saga Anderson’s Pacific Northwest trek to investigate a series of ritualistic murders.

Fans of the franchise have highly anticipated Alan Wake 2. It’s a game that’s been in the works for Remedy Entertainment for quite a few years, too. However, the video game has finally been approved, and the developers are now finally getting ready to reach the finish line. With that said, we know the game will be arriving next month, and while we wait for the game to reach the marketplace, there is a new video drop from IGN highlighting an early mission for Alan Wake 2.

While September is packed with big games, October looks no less epic, especially with titles like Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 on the horizon. The developer recently showcased Wake in The Dark Place, a nightmare reality based on a person’s subconscious. In his case, it’s a replica of New York City.

Alan Wake 2 promises to be a fairly different game from its predecessor, and that’s a good thing. While the atmosphere and setting of the original Alan Wake in 2010 was certainly ominous and surreal, it’s held back by a rather clunky combat system. Fortunately, the move to a more pure survival horror game with Alan Wake 2 ensures that this won’t be the case again, something developer Remedy confirms with PCGamesN at Gamescom 2023.

Remedy Entertainment’s portfolio of titles includes some of the most renowned in the industry, such as Max Payne and Alan Wake. While the developer has created a connected universe with more recent titles, not all the games it’s ever made are part of it.

Action-horror sequel Alan Wake 2 showed up to last night’s Gamescom festivities with a cryptic trailer (below) that showed the studio’s signature Lynchian mystery, an upside-down New York, and some interesting live-action scenes. But references to Remedy’s past games have been the big conversation driver, especially since the studio is building up a “Remedy Connected Universe.” Creative director Sam Lake has now clarified that time-bending shooter Quantum Break and the Max Payne games aren’t cool enough to join the Remedy-verse, while also breaking down their approach to these shared-world games.

Remnant 2 has been an incredible success for Gunfire Games, hitting 100,000 concurrent players on Steam this weekend. This means that at one point, there were just over 100,000 players all in the game at once, battling through random world combinations as they fought back against The Root.
