Naughty Dog's is a devastating tale of parallel protagonists. Its inciting incident is a brutal torture sequence, and the game only spirals into more stomach-turning violence from there on. By the time reaches is unflinchingly bloody finale, it's difficult to feel as though something has actually been accomplished after experiencing a narrative that has only plummeted wildly into chaos. 's core tenet seems to be a warning that violence only begets violence, and the game's focus on insatiable revenge only leaves those involved with traumatic uncertainty.

For a harrowing hour or two after Amazon.com Inc. launched its first satellites, it appeared the company might have lost one of them. Developer The Chinese Room has unveiled the fourth playable clan in the upcoming RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2—the Ventrue. The Ventrue clan, currently still under development, is the final of four planned playable clans that will be available the game on release.

The Last of Us Part II is getting remastered for the PS5 with bonus content, and Naughty Dog has now dropped an overview trailer for its biggest addition. ‘No Return' is a roguelite mode that forces players into devastating situations — randomised encounters against swarms of the Infected, Clickers, and more, where each death would take you back to the starting point. There are 12 levels in total, based on memorable locations from the Seattle-set game, all building up to dramatic boss battles. As previously reported, the new version has enhancements for the PS5, including a native 4K output and unlocked framerates for displays with VRR. The Last of Part II Remastered releases January 19.

At 10am CT (4pm GMT), Rooster Teeth will start its annual 24-hour stream to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in partnership with Extra Life. Thankfully, this new endeavor is a novel innovation that pays off, thanks in part to a relatively low price point and perfect clarity as to what comes inside the box.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the cult-favorite RPG from the now-defunct Troika Games, and it's had a bit of an interesting development period following its initial 2018 announcement from developer Hardsuit Lands.
