Blizzard has just announced that Blackfathom Deeps will be the first Season of Discovery leveling raid. This raid will be aimed at level 25 characters, which is the level cap of the first leveling band. It will be a 10-player raid, with improved loot and difficulty, all with a 3-day lockout, similar to Zul'gurub. The raid will consist of seven bosses:

The first raid from The War Within will be the Nerub'ar palace. This will be an eight-boss raid in Azj-kahet. This raid will be the culmination of the storyline between the Nerubian Empire, their Queen, and Xal'atath. Below you can see the top-down and side view of the raid.

A Final Fantasy 14 cat boy has brought together 23 fellow Miqo'te to run not one, but three Alliance raids – the latest being the steamiest yet, with the divine entities of the Thaleia raid brought down by a gang of beach-ready cat boys.

The Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV will feature an FFXI crossover as part of the “Echoes of Vana’diel” Alliance Raid series. Echoes of Vana’diel is one of the most exciting additions to Dawntrail, bringing back classic heroes and villains from FF11.

While the normal raid series remains a mystery for now, the London FFXIV Fanfest has revealed the name and idea for the Dawntrail Alliance Raid series: Echoes of Vana’diel, directly inspired by FFXI.

Final Fantasy 14 is going back to where it all began regarding the series' foray into MMO territory for a new raid that's releasing in Dawntrail.

Blizzard has announced that the final event of the BlizzCon Guild Clash will be a Dragonflight Patch 10.2 raid showcase in which Echo, Liquid, Golden Guardians, and Method will face off against four upcoming bosses from Amirdrassil, the Dreams Hope! The BlizzCon Guild Clash was previously revealed as a special BlizzCon 2023 event, in which the four of the world's top guilds would compete against one another in a three-day, three-event tournament — starting with best of five 3v3 Arena PvP matches, followed by an MDI-style head-to-head single-elimination Mythic+ Dungeon race, and ending with a mystery event now revealed to be the raid showcase. The Guild Clash begins on Saturday, November 4, 2023 as soon as the doors to BlizzCon open at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Down-bad Final Fantasy 14 fans are finding out the hard way that you shouldn't hit on one of the MMO's new bosses in the middle of a fight. 

The Amirdrassil raid schedule has been released and the LFR wings are unlocking earlier in Season 3 with the final wing unlocking on Week 4 now! Previously, the final wing of LFR would unlock on Week 6, but now it will unlock on Week 4!

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.5 launched with the final tier of its Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid earlier this month, and it’s still packing secrets to discover. The new 24-man raid apparently has a little easter egg for players familiar with the MMO’s fishing lore, and it involves shooting your shot with one of the realm’s 12 gods, Llymlaen.

In the latest 10.2 PTR build, Hunter's have finally received a raid buff in the form of a reworked Hunter's Mark that provides 5% increased damage to a single target above 80% health. However, there's been a lot of questions and conversations regarding the relative strength and implementation of this new raid buff. The Patch 10.2 PTR developer notes for this week have been added and a Hunter Raid Buff has finally been added! Update: Blizzard added a fix for crit damage bonuses contributing to Ignite for Fire Mages in today's PTR build notes:

Blizzard is pushing back the start of the final round of raid testing on the Wrath Classic 3.4.3 PTR by 2 hours. The raid is now scheduled to go live for testing on the PTR at 12 PM PDT on September 26, lasting until September 29.

Final Fantasy 14's patch 6.5 might change slightly depending on whether you've played the best raid series in the MMO.

Profession recipe collectors can rest easy as the recipes from Vault of the Incarnates and Aberrus are returning in the form of Overflowing Satchel of Pilfered Recipes, a drop from the early raid boss Igira the Cruel in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope.

It appears that the upcoming Dragonflight Patch 10.2 raid: Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope, will feature an unlockable raid skip similar to tiers before it. Fragment of Emberscar is a line of quest items dropped by the Smolderon <the Firelord>, which serves as the third to last ordered boss, before Tindral Sageswift and Fyrakk. Although we haven't seen the associated quest yet, it seems to work exactly like those of previous tiers — with players acquiring multiple of these Fragments over several weeks of defeating Smolderon on each difficulty.

Amirdrassil raid testing starts today with Heroic Gnarlroot and Igira the Cruel, beginning at 1 PM PDT / 4 PM EDT / 22:00 CEST on the Dragonflight Patch 10.2 PTR! Each Thursday and Friday over the next four weeks will feature approximately two Heroic or Mythic difficulty bosses, with extended weekend testing of Normal difficulty and LFR wings starting on September 22nd. As has become customary, the final boss, Fyrakk the Blazing, will not be tested on any difficulty in order to preserve the surprise! The raid testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. Continuing our datamining of Patch 10.2, today we'd like the highlight some of the new skyboxes added in the patch. These skyboxes will be used in many different environments, including the new Emerald Dream open area and the Amirdrassil raid zone.

Given that Destiny 2‘s Raids are its pinnacle-level content, featuring both mechanical and statistical difficulties, it is fairly self-evident that Raid bosses, too, ought to be equally impressive in more ways than not. Challenging, imposing, and memorable, Raid bosses are supposed to serve as the final obstacle to loot and other assorted goodies, but is that always the case? Or have some Raid bosses become overhyped Strike targets rather than top-end world-ending threats?

With the introduction of Amirdrassil in Dragonflight Patch 10.2, Great Vault thresholds have also changed! Unlocking raid reward choices now requires 2, 5, or 7 boss victories, as opposed to 3, 5, or 7 in Aberrus, making it slightly easier to earn the first vault reward. The current vault requires 3/5/7 Aberrus raid bosses, while Patch 10.2 will be reduced to 2/5/7 from Amirdrassil. While this is undoubtedly a good change for players looking to easily unlock a raid vault reward, it's not all great news, as it also means unlocking all three choices requires a full clear of the new 7-boss raid — giving raiders no potential to sit or switch out with another player, which is common in many dedicated raiding groups seeking to rotate players in and out as needed. Mythic+ and PvP thresholds appear unchanged at 1/4/8 dungeons and 1250/2500/5000 Honor respectively, although Blizzard Assistant Game Director Morgan Day and Senior Game Designer Patrick Scarborough commented on increasing availability of Mythic+ rewards in an interview with MrGM yesterday, stating that Heroic, Timewalking, and Mythic+0 dungeons will also populate the Great Vault, unlocking reward slots the same way. The Vault is intended to still contain the same Seasonal rewards, even if Timewalking dungeons are done to unlock them, but it should help players doing lower difficulty content and weekly quests like A Frozen Path Through Time still earn weekly rewards.

Until September 17, 2023, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet players can challenge the 7-Star Psychic Tera Type Mewtwo. Needless to say, this is a special event compared to past 7-Star raids. Players are highly encouraged to live out their Pokémon: The First Movie dreams by redeeming Mystery Gift Mew and challenging Mewtwo with the best Mew you can build.

Here's a first look at 10.2 mount models, including magical creatures from the Emerald Dream, the Keystone Master Season 3 mount, and the Mythic Fyrakk mount! There are also some datamined models that weren't teased in Blizzard's official preview, like fel motorcycles and sabertooth raptors.

We have our first look at the Amirdrassil Raid weapon models coming in Guardians of the Dream Patch 10.2! Our database has been updated for Dragonflight Patch 10.2, in which we've found several special effect weapons and trinkets in the new raid, including a series of Shadowflame Corrupted weapons from Fyrakk himself! This list may not be complete, as many of the raid items are still incomplete.

In the recent WoWCast Reveal stream, we got a brief preview of the Season 3 Tier Set armor sets coming in Patch 10.2 Guardians of the Dream. It's still unclear which classes correspond to each set exactly, but we'll be sure to update once classes are confirmed.

With the Scarlet and Violet expansion on the horizon, it seems that Game Freak is determined to give the title a big send-off. 7 Star Raids are limited-time events that offer the most challenging content in the game. Only the most hardcore Pokemon Trainers stand a chance of beating these Raids, and that’s never been more true than with the Mewtwo Raid. I can’t sugarcoat it; this fight is borderline unfair! Recently, my Destiny 2 clanmates and I took the healthy and responsible decision not to participate in the next raid race. The way things work in Destiny 2 is that for the first 48 hours of any new or reprised raid a modifier called 'Contest Mode' is active, during which time player power is capped 20 levels under the enemies in each encounter. Result: you deal less damage and take much more. For those who don't have a well-drilled fireteam and meta loadouts, the experience is bracing—particularly as fatigue creeps in, and the tempers of old gamers with decaying thumb skill begin to fray. 

Bungie finally announced the next reprised raid coming to Destiny 2, starting next week…and it’s Crota’s End. Yes, many were expecting Wrath of the Machine from Rise of Iron, but at least this fits the Hive theme of Season of the Witch. Regardless, a new raid means a World First race with Contest Mode enabled.

The exciting Destiny 2 Season of the Witch is happening right now, but the upcoming Crota's End Raid is not here just yet, but all good things come to those who wait! Bungie, the game developer, is bringing back this famous raid from the original Destiny game for Season 22. However, it won't be exactly the same as before. There are some new twists to make it, dare we say, much more interesting.

Destiny 2's big 2023 showcase has unveiled what's to come in The Final Shape expansion, the Season of the Witch that starts today, and perhaps most importantly, what's due in 2024 as a new Episode model replaces the seasons that the MMO has had (and been struggling with) for years.  

While players will no doubt grind tithes to provide Eris Morn in Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch, everyone can look forward to the next reprised raid on September 1st. Contrary to expectations, it’s Crota’s End from The Dark Below, with players venturing to the Moon to take on the Hive Prince and Son of Oryx.

World of Warcraft’s new Dracthyr race is proving to be a problem for Blizzard, with MMO fans taking advantage of one of its specialisations to flatten a myriad of high-end raid bosses. 

Fortnite's creative mode is a playground for players who want to flex those creative muscles. And one player did just that, building a full MMO-style raid boss for Fortnite players to tackle.

Something about it just screams FFXIV.

MMO-inspired raids are a thing in Fortnite now, apparently. 

A while back, Fortnite introduced a series of tools that creators could use to create their own maps, and these tools provided enough creative freedom that players were soon using them to mimic entirely different genres. We've seen all kinds of weird and wonderful creation from Fortnite players ever since these tools were introduced, though none have managed to capture the feeling of a Final Fantasy 14 raid boss quite as well as the DoomsDay: Raid Boss Battle has.

While the recent August 2023 Pokemon Presents stream was a disappointment for some, Scarlet & Violet fans at least had a little bit to chew on. Amid the announcement that this generation’s first expansion was just around the corner, we also got word that Mewtwo would be coming to the game in September via a Tera Raid event. That’s neat at least!

The Pokemon Company had several details regarding upcoming projects like Detective Pikachu Returns and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s upcoming paid expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero – Part 1: The Teal Mask. The latter is out on September 13th, but in the meantime, players can partake in a new 7-star Tera Raid against Mewtwo from September 1st, midnight UTC till September 18th, 2:59 PM UTC.
