People Can Fly has cancelled Project Dagger, a new action-adventure IP that was in development at its New York studio for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The studio announced the project’s development back in 2020, revealing at the time that it would be published by Take-Two Interactive. In 2022, however, it was announced that the agreement between the two had been terminated, and that People Can Fly would be moving forward with the project with the intention of self-publishing it.

People Can Fly has cancelled a co-op action RPG codenamed Project Dagger after several years of development.

In June last year, People Can Fly announced that it had partnered with Microsoft to work on a new game in an existing Xbox IP. Codenamed Project Maverick, the game is being built on a budget of $30-$50 million, though details on what it will actually be have been scant since then.

Making good on their word, People Can Fly and Incuvo have released a rather chunky patch for Bulletstorm VR on PlayStation VR2 and Steam VR. This follows an earlier update on Meta Quest sets, which took aim at crashes and more.

Outriders and Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly has joined the long list of developers and companies in the games industry that have been hit with layoffs, less than a month into 2024. As per a report by Kotaku, the studio has laid off over 30 people.

The Bulletstorm VR team is «committed to improving the quality» of its recent, really rather broken, release. To do this, it will be prioritising fixes based on severity.

Though Bulletstorm has yet to see a sequel, People Can Fly is expanding on it with Bulletstorm VR. Launching next month, it features two exclusive levels with Trishka Novak in the leading role as she hunts General Sarrano (when not berating Grayson Hunt). Following its announcement earlier in the year, People Can Fly confirmed in August that Bulletstorm VR would be launching on December 14, though with the game now less than a month away from its intended launch, the company has announced a delay, pushing its release back by a little over a month.

Publisher People Can Fly and developer Incuvo have delayed Bulletstorm VR from its previously announced December 14, 2023 release date to January 18, 2024. It will be available for PlayStation VR2, PC via Steam, and Quest.
