Bulletstorm VR: sci-fi shooter’s PS VR2 features detailed

We’re proud to say that, with the support of Deep Silver, for the last two and a half years we’ve been working to bring the post-apocalyptic world of Metro to PS VR2 in 2024.

In a bid to transform the virtual meeting experience, Microsoft has unveiled an innovative feature in its latest Canary test build for Windows 11. The Microsoft Windows 11 Voice Clarity feature, previously exclusive to Surface devices, is now set to enhance audio quality across all Windows machines, including those powered by ARM CPUs.

A new report courtesy of Bloomberg (via IGN) indicates that the Nintendo Switch 2—the follow-up console to the incredibly popular Nintendo Switch—will feature an 8-inch LCD display. The report by Bloomberg cites Hiroshi Hayase—an analyst with Omdia specialising in the display market.

The developer of popular sandbox VR game Rec Room has revealed that it currently «can't justify» a port of the game to PlayStation VR2. The virtual reality headset for the PS5 has already featured a wide variety of games for players to choose from, including titles from some of Sony's biggest franchises. Horizon would make its debut in VR with Horizon Call of the Mountain launching in February of last year, while Gran Turismo 7 would also receive VR functionality in a free update. Now, however, one developer doesn't appear to be convinced by the VR platform.

To the surprise of just about everyone — seemingly including the studio behind it — virtual reality game Ultrawings 2 has hit PlayStation VR2 earlier than expected. Developer Bit Planet Games wrote on X that «shadow dropping Ultrawings 2 on PS VR2 today was not on our 2024 bingo card but, well, here we are.» (A shadow drop refers to a surprise release of a product as soon as it's announced, like Hi-Fi Rush.)

In an unexpected twist, Bit Planet Games announced that its action simulation game Ultrawings 2 is now available on the PlayStation VR2 headset.

After countless delays, it seems Skull and Bones is actually launching for real in February, and to solidify that fact, Ubisoft has announced the details of the game’s open beta. Said beta will available on all platforms from February 8 to February 11. Crossplay will be enabled and your progression will carry over to the full game. Players will be able to explore the Red Isle hub and the coast of Africa and East Indies regions and your pirate Infamy will be capped at level 6. There are no plans to bring the popular VR social MMO Rec Room to PlayStation VR2, because the studio behind it can’t justify the cost.

The Bulletstorm VR team is «committed to improving the quality» of its recent, really rather broken, release. To do this, it will be prioritising fixes based on severity.
