The long-awaited expands upon the ideas of the award-winning original, amplifying the survival game's scope and scale in new ways. During today’s Opening Night Live show at gamescom 2023, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada showcased a brand-new trailer for Tekken 8. Unlike the past several trailers, which tended to focus on a single character, this one unveils a whole slew of veteran fighters at once as well as a new single-player mode for fans and newcomers to enjoy. We also now finally know Tekken 8’s release date, which is January 26 of next year.

Crimson Desert was announced nearly three years ago at this point, and though it turned a few heads at the time with its promise of a sweeping, single player action RPG experience, the fact that there have been little to no updates on the game in the time since then has raised a few eyebrows. It turns out, however, that Pearl Abyss is finally ready to showcase the game once again.

Update: As it turns out, the companion app is outdated and has since been removed from the Google Play Store. So no Half-Life-related news at Gamescom (yet).

Gamescom is the next big gaming expo and takes place later in August from Koelnmesse GmbH in Cologne, Germany. Several big companies like Bandai Namco, NetEase, Xbox, Bethesda and Nintendo have been confirmed, but it seems that Valve Corporation is also appearing, potentially for something Half-Life related.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed its line-up for Gamescom 2023 in August. It includes FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, CyberConnect2’sNaruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS, Haemimont’s Park Beyond, SAND LAND and Tekken 8. Some “thrilling surprises” are also promised.

Bandai Namco has announced its lineup for Gamescom 2023, which will run from August 23 to 27 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
