Things have been quiet on the Suicide Squad front since the game was released in February. Publisher Warner Bros was disappointed by the game's poor sales but doubled down on making its live service dream a reality. A free DLC update is now available, adding The Crown Prince of Crime himself to the game.

Having had a few days to sit with the news that Larian Studios, creators of 2023's breakout RPG, Baldur's Gate 3, has scrapped plans for DLC and will not be developing the inevitable next game in the series, we can't help but feel the move was a deeply-baller one. Going out on the highest possible note, outdoing even BioWare's iconic earlier entries, it's time to move on for Larian, and we'll gladly follow. Parent company Hasbro, however, wasted no time, threatening still-in-shock audiences that more D&D games are on the way: «Watch this space.»

Fight Crab 2 ups the ante with not only with a wider variety of selectable shelled warriors and ridiculous weaponry, but also a new kind of campaign mode that answers an even sillier question: what if it was also like Monster Rancher too?

Hellgate: London was a game ahead of its time in a lot of ways, introducing open-world looter and roguelike mechanics before those things became a hot trend. As such, the game is still remembered fairly well despite not being a huge seller at the time. Well, it seems the series may be coming back, because the original game’s producer Bill Roper has announced an Unreal Engine 5 sequel, Hellgate: Redemption, will be produced through his new studio Lunacy Games. Lunacy Games, a studio founded in September 2022 by Hellgate: London creator Bill Roper, has signed a licensing agreement with HanbitSoft to create a new AAA game in the Hellgate franchise for console and PC, the company announced. Codenamed Hellgate: Redemption, the game will be set in an undisclosed part of the franchise’s alternate history, demon-apocalypse world.

Constellation mixes the horrors of space with quantum entanglements on Earth, which is all to say: It gets complicated. After surviving an International Space Station disaster, astronaut Jo Ericsson’s (Noomi Rapace) struggles to comprehend the “hallucinations” bleeding into the faux-normalcy of her domestic world. Which is also to say: It’s a wormhole of complications.

For the past four-years-plus, animal lovers have been able to live out their dreams on PC with Frontier Developments’ acclaimed Planet Zoo, and now, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 owners can get in on the fun. It seems like Frontier has gone the extra mile with this port, as it features full support for both controllers and keyboard-and-mouse, and the ability to share zoos between XSX and PS5. The console port will also have a “zoo complexity meter” which will allow you to keep an eye on the scope of your zoo to make sure performance stays high (very large zoos could get quite demanding on PC). We've datamined items related to Nightmare Incursions, the newest PvE Event coming to Season of Discovery in Phase 3. While we can't confirm if all of these items will be available, or exactly how to get them, several of them were previewed in Blizzard's Official Phase 3 Reveal. Players who decide to enter these Nightmare Incursions and take on the corrupted entities will be rewarded with experience as well as Reputation gains with the newest Faction — the Emerald Wardens. Dragon's Dogma 2 fans were creating their pawns before the game even launched, thanks to a free character creator demo. Now, the full game lets you narrow down the search to find a pawn that's right for you - with some interesting criteria for players to choose from.

Farming the right materials to Ascend Acheron in may require a bit of work, though all of it could be pre-farmed well before her arrival in Version 2.1. Acheron is a new 5-star Lightning unit that follows the Path of the Nihility. Her specialty is applying debuffs on enemies and, with that, dealing an immense amount of damage based on how many debuffs those opponents have on them – which makes her a fantastic asset in a team with Kafka or Black Swan in , for instance.

Upon reaching Renown 5 with the Keg Leg's Crew in Plunderstorm, Dragonflight players also unlock a new vendor in Valdrakken offering a limited amount of mid-level crests and a single Bind-on-Account cache containing normal Amirdrassil loot! To unlock, simply play Plunderstorm until you reach Renown 5, and the next time you log into Dragonflight, you should automatically be prompted with the quest, A Keg-Stamped Package. Heading to the Valdrakken inn, you'll see a few new NPCs in the corner, where Da'kash Grimledger, Plix Sputtermouth, and Polly Roger have taken up residence. Turning in the quest will grant you 15 bind-on-account Keg-Stamped Coin, which can be mailed to any character on your Battle.net account. Studio Media Molecule has been winding down its live development and support for Dreams for a while now, as it shifts towards work on its next big game. The next step in this process is the stoppage of the game's live curation, which has been manually handled by a dedicated team since the game's launch.

Media Molecule confirmed that live Curation support for its PlayStation exclusive game Dreams will be coming to an end with a new update in April. Several changes will be made to Dreams in order for new and returning players to continue discovering content from the game's talented community of creators.

It isn’t really clear who the Ghostbusters franchise is for anymore. In Jason Reitman’s 2021 sequel/reboot, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, it seemed like the series had a clear trajectory, and that he was aiming at finally making it the kids’ franchise that Halloween costume companies always dreamed it could be. But the latest entry, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, clings so tightly to the franchise’s past that it’s hard to see how it could appeal to anyone at all.

If you asked me to make a list of the most stressful video games of all time, Lunar Lander would be pretty high up there. The Atari classic is a masterclass in minimalist tension, asking players to land spaceships on rocky planets very gingerly. Those who experienced that game when it launched could probably regale you with war stories about their space-faring escapades, but Atari is about to give players a new panic attack.

While serving the purpose of making a game world feel more lived in and immersive, NPCs could sometimes become one of the more annoying parts of an open-world title, spewing the same dialogue time and time again as players interact with them, with one of the most infamous examples being in Bethesda's, where players would hear the like "" many times on their adventures, because archers clearly seem to favor knee-shots in northern Tamriel.

When you reach Renown 5 with the Keg Leg's Crew by playing Plunderstorm, you unlock a new vendor on Retail that sells some upgrade items! Play Plunderstorm until you hit Renown 5, and the next time you log into a Retail character, you get the auto-pushed quest. Heading to the Valdrakken inn and turning in the quest will grant you 15 Keg-Stamped Coin.

Honkai: Star Rail’s gigantic v2.1 update will arrive on 27th March, and will celebrate the release’s first anniversary with 20 free Star Rail Passes and a further 1,600 in-game currency Stellar Jade – an announcement which is fuelling division between HoYoverse’s fandom. It’ll also continue the plot of Penacony, introduce an all-new VA-11 HALL-A inspired drink mixing minigame, and welcome the unmissable Acheron as a playable character.

E3 is comfortably six feet under at this point, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be bereft of video game shenanigans this summer. Host Geoff Keighley has announced that his Summer Game Fest event will return on Friday, 7th June at 5PM PT/5PM ET/10PM BST. It’ll be broadcast live from the YouTube Theatre in glitzy Los Angeles.

SEGA purchased Rovio a little while ago now, so it’s a surprise it’s taken this long for Sonic the Hedgehog and Angry Birds to meet. But as of right now, the two franchises have clashed in five smartphone games, through until 21st March. This includes Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Dream Blast, Angry Birds Friends, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

In Season 4, players will need to acquire the new Spark of Awakening profession crafting material in order to upgrade their crafted items to higher items levels. However, early datamining suggests that the acquisition of sparks will likely be changing to a Weekly Awakened Activity in Season 4.

Patch 10.2.6 adds new meta achievements for some of Dragonflight's main factions. These meta-achievements reward players for completing the activities from each faction, and each rewards a new mount.

The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden is teaming up with the popular Japanese anime series Shangri-La Frontier. This dream team event kicks off on March 21st, 2024, at 1 pm JST. The Eminence in Shadow x Shangri-La Frontier crossover will also mark the first collaboration with an anime series for the game.

With Patch 10.2.6 available for datamining, we have a list of rewards for completing all Dragonflight raids during Season 4! The new Fated raids, referred to in-game as Awakened. he different thing this time around is that completing all of them on Normal difficulty awards a mount, and Heroic completion awards a title. Mythic completion still awards portals to the three Dragonflight raids.

With patch 10.2.6 now available for datamining, the tooltip for the Empowered Spell input setting has removed the 'Evoker Only' descriptor. Could this signal that Empowered spells are being added to other classes in a future content update or The War Within?

With Patch 10.2.6, a new expansion-wide meta-achievement similar to Veilstrider from Shadowlands. The reward for this achievement is the goodest boy Taivan as a mount.

Using Chiori’s best build in can significantly improve her performance as a Geo sub-DPS and support on the field, which in turn results in extra damage output and less trouble from opponents. The 5-star unit is one of the new pieces of content added with Version 4.5 in mid-March. The character had previously been introduced as an NPC in Version 4.3’s flagship event but is now fully playable. Chiori’s main usage as a new character in 4.5 is dealing Geo DMG while off-field, supporting her main Geo DPS unit for increased elemental resonance.

Nvidia Corp.'s annual artificial intelligence conference is just days away and expectations are high for the semiconductor maker to deliver news that will sustain the blistering rally in its stock.  “Nvidia GTC,” the company's graphics processing unit technology event, has quickly become a global AI conference for developers. It runs from March 18-21 in San Jose, California, with Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang due to speak on the opening day. His comments may help Nvidia stock end a bout of volatility and resume its surge of more than 80% this year.

On March 7, EA shadow dropped a host of classic PC games on Steam, including pretty much the entire Command & Conquer series. That's good news - unless you're one of the indie devs who released a game the very same day and suddenly had to compete with decades worth of nostalgia amid the notorious whims of the Steam algorithm.

We’ve been seeing an increasing number of industry veterans breaking away from the traditional AAA publishing space to form their own independent AAA studios, and another name has now joined that list. emptyvessel is a new studio formed by former veterans of the likes of id Software, Activision, Naughty Dog, Crystal Dynamics, Striking Distance Studios, Illfonic, and more.

emptyvessel, a new independent AAA games studio formed of veteran developers based in Austin, Texas, has announced its establishment. The studio’s founding staff has worked on iconic franchises such as DOOM, Quake, Call of Duty, The Last of Us, Borderlands, Tomb Raider, The Callisto Protocol, and more. Its first title is an Unreal Engine-5 powered title that will leverage its experience in the “immersive shooter” space.

As WrestleMania celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, everything surrounding WWE feels bigger in 2024, including the release of its latest game, WWE 2K24. That said, this is far from a dramatic overhaul as Visual Concepts favours small improvements and additions instead of wildly innovative progression of the series. Blizzard has posted upcoming PvE class tuning coming with the Weekly Reset which includes a Sub Rogue nerf and a Frost Mage buff! As always, we’ve closely monitored data on class performance as well as player feedback. With all of that in mind, we’ve developed the following adjustments to classes that are over- and under-performing in group content and PvP. These changes will go into effect with scheduled weekly maintenance in each region.

Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game tasks you with categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret (for now) groups by figuring out how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight and each new puzzle has a varying degree of difficulty. Just like Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compare your scores with friends.

Media Molecule has reportedly avoided closure amid the continuing round of layoffs. In 2023, approximately 9,000 workers in the video game industry were hit by a round of layoffs and some of these workers included employees at Media Molecule. Perhaps the most shocking was the fact that these layoffs had hit the biggest companies, such as Hasbro, EA, Microsoft, and more. It seemed like that was the worst it would get, and many looked to 2024 with hope for the future.

PlayStation recently announced that it will be reducing its workforce by roughly 8 percent, which translates to around 900 layoffs, and given that number, it’s no surprise that the effects are going to be felt across the company. A number of major first-party studios are set to make job cuts, Firepsrite’s rumoured Twisted Metal game has been cancelled (alongside reports of workplace toxicity within the studio), while SIE London Studio has been shut down entirely.

Earlier this week in Scotland, dozens of families were disappointed by the Willy Wonka Experience Glasgow. While the bare-bones event left a lot to be desired, the actors put on the best show possible to try to show attendees a good time, and one has become a video game star.
