If the new Alone in the Dark PS5 reboot has given you a classic survival horror itch, then Sony's subscription service PS Plus Premium is looking to scratch it. Available from Tuesday, 16th April 2024, the old PS1 terror Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare will be available to members on the top tier, complete with all the bells and whistles that come with the re-releases Sony accepts on the service. Wrath of the Lich King received a new update yesterday, version 3.4.3.54261. There was no prior communication about an update, and there has been no official posts about what this new build includes. One undocumented change that has been noticed, however, is that Blizzard has increased the Character Gold Cap from the previous ~, to. This is most likely to prepare for the launch of Cataclysm Classic, as the Gold Cap was increased to that amount when Cataclysm was originally released in 2010. Characters are no longer capped out at ! The Guild Bank Gold Cap has also been increased to with this build. As players have been getting more effective with gold farming, and with the popularity of GDKP runs in Wrath Classic, the cap increase might come as a welcome relief to players. Some have previously voiced their thoughts on a higher Gold Cap being needed for the launch of Wrath Classic, citing better ways to earn gold and the previously mentioned GDKP runs as arguments to increase the cap.

Sega’s classic arcade title Golden Axe will be heading to the small screen in the shape of an animated television series for Comedy Central. While this content may seem too easy to some players, Josh Greenfield states that there are many other iterations of WoW that provide difficult challenges, and that the team wants Season of Discovery to be more focused on fun.

Vampire Survivors will be released on PS5 and PS4 in the summer,  developer poncle has confirmed. In addition to the news about the PS5 and PS4 release, poncle has also announced the Operation Guns DLC, which based on the Contra franchise. It will be coming to all current platforms on May 9th, and will cost $2.49 / €2.49 / £1.99.

2024 is becoming more and more a year to remember for fans of the Prince of Persia series. After a long hiatus, the series made its comeback with The Lost Crown, a very good Metroidvania that brought the franchise back to its roots. The game developed by the Rayman team, however, won't be the only new entry in the series to see the light this year, as a roguelite take on the series' classic formula called The Rogue Prince of Persia will make its Early Access debut next month.

When Disney revealed that its 2023 animated movie Wish would have an actual, literal big bad, a certain conglomerate of hardcore Disney fans rejoiced. Earlier this week, Blizzard announced restrictions for new accounts and their characters on Season of Discovery realms. In the official forums, Senior Game Producer Tom Ellis has commented on the change, clarifying that new players will still be eligible to receive items and gold from helping friends — just not trade them away through mail, trading, or the Auction House.

Blizzard has announced that a coming update to World of Warcraft: Classic re-introducing the fiery Cataclysm expansion will land on May 20.

In contrast to modern WoW, Blizzard has decided to remove the ability to earn Insane in the Membrane in Cataclysm Classic. This revelation happened in their recent Cataclysm Classic blog, where they dedicated a whole header to discussing the removal of the achievement with the Cataclysm launch.

With the announcement of Pre-Patch and launch dates, Blizzard also unveiled the release scheduled for every Cataclysm Classic Phase. Firelands arrives in October and Dragon Soul in January 2025.
