Ubisoft are planning to make Tom Clancy's The Division 3. The project was announced alongside news that Julian Gerighty, the current creative director of Star Wars Outlaws, would move across to be "executive producer for The Division brand" once that project is finished.

FaZe Clan's share price currently sits at 18 cents on the Nasdaq: which is a problem, and come September 19 will become a catastrophe. In March this year the Nasdaq issued a notice of delisting to the lifestyle-slash-esports company because its share price had fallen below the $1 minimum bid for 30 days in a row. FaZe was given six months to get it back to that level for a minimum of ten days and, so far, has failed.

Electronic Arts is one of the biggest publishers in gaming today, and for good reason. They have numerous contracts that allow them to touch upon popular franchises, and they have made acquisitions that have led to them making numerous big-name titles, as well as games that continue to rake in money. Given that, they have a certain “view” of gaming that influences what they do, for better or worse. At a conference, as noted by VGC, CEO Andrew Wilson talked about the value of companies and how things aren’t as simple as it were in measuring that value. He then discussed how the company wanted to focus on “massive online communities.”

Starfield starts with the player acquiring a new spaceship and taking off to explore the stars. There are ways to begin with some real estate — you can start with a home and lots of debt, or go and visit their parents in New Atlantis — but most players just have their ship and a place to crash with the explorers’ society Constellation. As the game opens up, you can then build your own outposts — and some locales are more stunning than others.

Way down in the underground rests the small golem Otto, almost but not quite fully shut down with only the smallest hint of energy left in its core.  Whatever used to power it returns one day and with a shudder Otto comes back to life, albeit abandoned and alone in a deep, dark cavern.  It revived near giant old machinery that, like Otto, was cold and unused but still functional, if only someone was still around to use it.  With nothing better to do Otto sets out to discover what happened to its world, slowly transforming the empty caves into a bustling factory capable of supplying the crystal machine Apotheos with the needed components to expand the boundaries of its world towards some answers.

Kinetic Games has announced that it is delaying the console launch of its ghost-hunting horror title Phasmophobia following the outbreak of a fire in the studio’s office building.

In the past decade, there have been several close calls with asteroids. While none of them have caused enough damage to wipe out life on Earth, they have impacted the surface and given us a stern indication of their destructive potential. In 2013, a mere 59 feet wide space rock, which is no bigger than a small house, was observed rushing towards Chelyabinsk in Russia at a speed of 65000 kilometers per hour and exploded over the city. While its impact was non-fatal, it still injured as many as 1400 people and damaged over 7000 buildings.

SteamWorld Build, the «Anno meets Dungeon Keeper» city builder from Thunderful Games and internal studio The Station, finally has a release date and will be forging new frontiers on PC, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Game Pass from 1st December.

The problem with gods is they never give a clear indication of what it is they want.  Good times and clear skies with just the right amount of rain?  The gods are happy and all is at it should be.  Storms tear through and decimate the settlement?  The gods are angry at… something.  Could be anything, really.  In the case of the builder his tribe decided that the things he was creating had to be the cause, so they promptly exiled him to a faraway island.  The small tribe living there took him in on the condition he gets to work, and seeing as his skill is throwing things together it’s not long before his new home starts getting a bit more lively.

Nintendo is reportedly planning to make their new building even bigger. Don’t worry, this is real news, we just have to explain.

Every year on June 30, we celebrate World Asteroid Day. This day commemorates the anniversary of the Tunguska event, which is the largest asteroid strike in recorded history. On June 30, 1908, a carbonaceous asteroid crashed in Yeniseysk Governorate, Russia, and it decimated nearly 2150 square kilometers of forest area and scored the ground. This resulting explosion was recorded at almost 12 megatons. David Morrison, a planetary science researcher at the NASA Ames Research Center termed it as the “largest cosmic event ever witnessed by humans”.

Murder has been comfort TV fodder for almost as long as there has been television. Standards like Murder She Wrote and Columbo and modern homages like Poker Face offer predictable rhythms and familiar characters — and the promise that the perp will always get caught in the end. Streamer RTGame and his community have completed a map of 'New Earth' in Minecraft after three years of construction. The map is built on a 1:4000 scale of the Earth, meaning it horizontally spans about 10km or 10,000 blocks in-game.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is gearing up for the big reveal of the pristine asteroid sample that was collected by its OSIRIS-REx spacecraft. During its mission, the spacecraft collected a sample from an asteroid called Bennu which has a 1/2700 chance of impacting Earth between 2175 and 2195. Studying it will not only improve our understanding of asteroids that could impact Earth but also shed light on planet formation and the origin of organics and water that could have led to life, as per NASA.

Bethesda has posted an interview with Starfield producer Jamie Mallory, which follows on from her recent scene-stealing intervention during a Starfield Direct. Mallory, you see, is a sandwich pirate. Her ship, designed to look like a platypus, has a cargo hold dedicated to storing these ill-gotten snacks. As someone who collected an absurd amount of skulls in Fallout 3, this is the kind of detail that matters in Bethesda games.
