The first patch for The Finals season two has been released, which introduces a new feature for private matches while making improvements to its latest game mode.

Codemasters has released the latest video for F1 24, showcasing 13 minutes of raw gameplay across five of the circuits, giving a broad sample of the game’s racing credentials. F1 24 will launch on 31st May 2024 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Embark Studio releases Update 2.1.0 for The Finals, further fleshing out the Private Match mode, fixing a ton of recent bugs, and making other general improvements to the rest of the game. The AI arms race between the U.S. and China has escalated to a new level, and there will be some defectors in the mix intending to steal highly secretive files to give the other region an edge. As it happens, one Google engineer, Linwei Ding, also known as Leon Ding, was indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly stealing trade secrets revolving around Google’s AI chip software and hardware on March 5. In a statement, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said that Ding had 500 confidential files containing AI trade secrets and was secretly colluding with China-based firms attempting to seek an upper hand in the AI race.

The Finals releases update 1.10 which continues to add quality of life improvements and bug fixes, as well as brand-new content including a Smoking Guns limited time mode and a community challenge. Since launching back in December during The Game Awards, The Finals has constantly been evolving. Part of that has been with consistent updates aimed at balancing some of the abilities and fixing major issues impacting the game, as well as adding new content to the overall experience.

This first-person shooter occurs amid a digital game show where varying counts of three-person teams fight over money caches in an objective-focused format. The Finals is unpredictable in the best way: gameshow events like meteor showers or orbital lasers remap previously memorized paths, map variants like moving platforms or suspended structures can obfuscate objectives, and your team’s best-laid defensive plans are often interrupted as explosives obliterate the buildings around you.

It’s official.
