The next major installment in the continuing Like a Dragon series is coming very soon. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches on Windows PC via Steam, the PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox consoles on Jan. 26. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has shared some new details on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, specifically the minigames that players can indulge in. It already showcased Crazy Delivery and Dondoko Island, but there’s also Miss Match, an app that protagonist Ichiban Kasuga can use for matchmaking.

While Sega’s other properties, like Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio and Shinobi, were the bigger deal at The Game Awards, RGG Studio’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth received a new trailer. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth features the biggest map in the Yakuza franchise. Marking the series' first venture outside of Japan, the upcoming title will transport players to the tourist hotspot of Hawaii — Honolulu City, to be exact. Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio claims that the vast new stage is more than three times the size of Yakuza: Like a Dragon's Isezaki Ijincho, the suburb where the afro-haired Kasuga Ichiban was introduced. That means, the Hawaii map is nearly nine times the size of the Kamurocho district, the series' primary Japanese setting punctuated by shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, where we dabbled in action-packed illicit acts through the eyes of Kazuma Kiryu, the series' main protagonist who keeps getting pulled back into the life of crime.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's Hawaii will be the biggest Yakuza map to date, coming in at three times the size of Yakuza: Like a Dragon's Isezaki Ijincho and nine times the size of series mainstay Kamurocho.

All RWF guilds began with splits, mostly focusing on clearing Normal first on all of their characters before graduating to heroic, where bosses like Nymue and Smolderon began to cause wipes for guilds making use of community helpers to get extra gear. Whether the extra time spent with these helpers to get more loot is worthwhile remains to be seen, but Dratnos thinks it probably is still very worthwhile due to the amount of ilvl that the guilds need to acquire. Mythic Gnarlroot has also fallen to <Blue Shoe> and <Honolulu>, with more guilds likely to begin killing it as they finish their work in the lower difficulties. The boss seems tuned to be a good bridge between the later heroic bosses and the mythic difficulty, but much remains unknown about how quickly the difficulty curve ramps up afterwards. Dratnos and Tettles also cover the controversy around Dream Wardens renown exploits, including characters in RWF guilds that were rolled back and had the rewards removed from their inventories. Dratnos thinks this is a fair and proportionate punishment and hopes that Blizzard will work to establish a consistent pattern of enforcement that makes it very predictable which types of exploits will be actioned and which will be allowed.

I have been holidaying in Oahu for the last sixteen years and technically lived there for over six months so I know the island like the back of my hand and I can tell you, it does not lend itself to racing.

Ubisoft's premier racing franchise, The Crew, generally gets a bad rap. Developer Ivory Tower had very strong ambitions right from the starting grid, providing drivers with an open world approximating the entire United States of America. It's a great idea; roam the entire country from coast to coast with your pals, taking on challenges and building a varied collection of vehicles. The Crew 2 doubled down, even providing new ways to get around with boats and planes. For us, however, the execution was never really good enough, with a vapid open world and lacklustre driving. The Crew Motorfest is a different story.
